I do not get to the Chrome Store. I installed the "Install Chrome Extensions" from Opera and it showed up with the "Add to Opera" button in place - but it does not work, Incidentally, I can't get to this topic in Opera Forums using Opera - I get to it via Vivaldi.

Install Chrome Extensions not workingOpera add-ons
I have installed the AddOn/Extension entitled "Install Chrome Extensions" and it shows as installed - the icon is in my bar, but it is in mute colors and will not function. Appreciate any help on getting it up and running.
The reason I am going through this convoluted exercise is because Opera ( I have 64 installed) does not offer a simple "Send this page as mail" addon/extension so I understand that to get it, I have to use the Chrome storehouse and download it from there. And then see if it works. There is a reason Vivaldi is my default browser. -

RE: Updated Opera and VPN still doesn't workOpera for computers
I am running Opera 60.0.3255.36 on Win 10. When Opera's VPN is on, it will not connect to the internet - when I turn the VPN off, it is fine. I have the same problem with Tor browser, which also uses a proxy server - no internet via Tor. Other browsers (Firefox and Vivaldi) which do not run via proxy, are ok. Is the problem with the affected browsers, or with my ISP - Comcast?

Speed Dial and Opera MailOpera for Windows
I don't seem to be able to put a tile for OperaMail on my Opera Speed Dial. Drag and drop does not work and I can't get any address to enter. I have tiles for email services (e.g., FastMail), but no client - perhaps it is just not possible to create a Speed Dial tile for an email client.

Opera's free vpnOpera for Windows
Is it just me, or does 48 bucks a year fail to meet the commonly accepted definition of "free".

RE: envelope iconOpera for Windows
I figured it out - just install an add-on called "MailTo". Don't know why the envelope icon appeared and disappeared. I did not have the add-on installed when that happened.

envelope iconOpera for Windows
When I started out this morning, there was a little envelope icon in the bar (I presume it is called the address bar). When I clicked on it a small screen appeared asking for my email address. I didn't enter it then (probably should have).
Now the envelope icon has disappeared and I can't find any reference to email or sharing in Opera's unhelpful Help. Can someone tell me what is going on? Firefox has an entry under "File" that allows users to send a url via email just by clicking on that entry. It looked like Opera had a similar feature via the little envelope icon. Can someone tell me what is going on? Thanks. -

Is there any option for having bookmarks , particularly those imported from firefox, appear in a list instead of as tiles?

How to move bookmarks to foldersOpera for Windows
After Opera entered into its relationship with Google, I switched to Firefox and am largely satisfied with it. However I do recall fondly the old versions of Opera that I used - from v.5 to v.12.17, and particularly how bookmarks were handled so elegantly. I have recently decided to try Opera again and am using v.31, sans the Google search bar, of course. I used Opera to open certain web sites, and bookmarked them. They ended up in Unsorted Bookmarks. I have created in "My Folders" a new folder into which I would like to move some of the Unsorted Bookmarks. Drag and drop does not seem to work. Opera Help is unhelpful. Any assistance appreciated for this particular problem - and where I might find some general and detailed instructions on handling Opera 31 bookmarks.

RE: Can I install both Opera 20 and Opera 12.16Opera for Windows
I did get both installed. Oddly, there are two program folders in Opera 20, one entitled
"Program Files x86", which contains Opera 20 files, and another entitled simply "Program Files" into which were downloaded Opera 12.16 files. The big red "O" icon on my desktop is now assigned to 12.16 and 20 is still on my desktop, but with a blank instead of an icon. Curiously, Revo Uninstaller also lost its icon on my desktop and now has a blank instead of an icon.
Incidentally, I tried moving the bookmarks.adr file from my old computer's Opera 12.16 to the new computer' 12.16 - didn't work - Opera for Windows

Can I install both Opera 20 and Opera 12.16Opera for Windows
Or is there some basic incompatibility - since they use different engines? I'm still trying to figure out how to use my old bookmarks. No point in railing about changes to Opera - just trying to work around them. I'm still trying to figure out how to use Password Manager and the Bookmarks Bar in 20

A practical question re bookmarksOpera for Windows
With XP expiring, I finally bought a new computer - using Windows 8.1. I downloaded Opera 20 and found that that it had no bookmarks panel. As I have been using Opera for many years, most of my bookmarks are on Opera 12.16 in my old computer, and when 12.16 would not open a site, I just copied the URL and pasted it in Firefox or IE, and I guess that's what I will have to continue doing on the new computer (hopefully). I find that I can install Opera 12.16 from File Hippo. If I do so, my question is : How do I get my bookmarks from my old computer's 12.16 to my new computer's 12.16. I will , of course in the meantime have uninstalled Opera 20

RE: From Opera 12 to 20...a giant leap back for mankindOpera for Windows
With XP expiring, I finally got a new computer with Win 8.1 and Opera 20. I have used Opera for many years (I paid for my first version)but I am certainly no geek, so I never did a lot of messing with Opera. However, I certainly miss some of the features from past versions, especially the wand, the email client (not perfect, but very convenient), the panels which made access to bookmarks easy - in fact, just Opera's handling of bookmarks made Opera superior to other browsers,in my opinion - now I don't seem to be able to find them. I'm not even able to uninstall an extension I no longer want! I suggest these things (possibly excepting the email client) are items that could be restored without too trouble.
I think I'll just try Mozilla and await future versions of Opera. -
Extensions in Opera MobileOpera for Android
I've used Opera for many years, and have now been able to download Opera Mobile to my Kindle Fire (which is, I understand, a "sort of" Android device). Of course, I'm still learning how to configure both Opera mobile and the Kindle. Since Mobile has no toolbars like my regular Opera 12.16, I can't figure out how to view or access extensions. Specifically, I have downloaded Ghostery, but can't seem to find it, and the various "Helps" I've gone to haven't been any help.
Can someone explain what Opera Mobile uses to replace the toolbars - where is Ghostery, and how do I view the extension.
