Yes, you can still use MV2 extensions on Opera: What you need to know

@Opera-Security hi, Will Opera be for the ad blocker of the Android version? It would be great to add the filter lists we want.

@erdinc53 I believe it will be supported as long as Chromium will allow doing this 'officially' (using open workarounds). When all the workarounds will be blocked by chromium, it'll mean the end of support. Hard to believe they'll spend efforts (taking into account the AI and Themes hype) to modify or implement extra code to extend the support. Just my thoughts.

It would be great for all the chromium derivatives to join forces to spread the load and support MV2 indefinitely.
MV3 is really-really too limiting. -

@opera-security: I have to switch from Chrome. But it unclear if "support of MV2" mean inability to install MV2 opensource available extension while "support of MV2" is claimed. Look suspicious and false claim. Express in words, please.

Thanks! Just moved from Chrome to Opera due MV2 support is working (not uBO user, there are a lot of MV2 extensions that helpful, working, but will not be updated to V3 anyway). Pretty cool browser overall
