@Mlipka it´s funny that you literally say "it´s like building a second browser in a current browser" ROFL! dude you have like 3+ versions of the same browser: Normal Opera, GX and AIR and the mobile version of all of them. Again, guys you don´t have to make 3 flavours of the same browser to appeal different public... You just have to make 1 solid version and make it cohesive and functional!

bump on this thread! vertical tabs are absolutely needed! vivaldi and brave already have them and we don't want to fall in competition, they are much neater and comfortable, less messy than horizontal top tabs, can be regrouped more easily and their sidebar can be hidden when not hovering on it to provide more space and resolution for the webpages!

Exactly! And now the devs have cool tools like cursor or claude code to make it happen...

@parasite666 agree 100%. Unfortunately since opera doesn't want to adopt basic features that other browsers have I completely have moved off opera. Opera air was my favorite browser so far but the absence of basic things like vertical tabs makes it unusable. So I completely moved away from opera for the time.

@parasite666 And why vertical tabs should be considered a basic feature?
