Bookmarks bar
After the browser has been open a while, the “cursor over folder preview” is disabled.
It always works normal in the beginning of a session;
once a folder is clicked, you can move the mouse to other folders, and they open automatically.Later this function goes away;
if user is within an open folder and wants to move to another folder, he must then click the folder name to open and see that folder.100.0.4815.76 on Win10.

The sooner you realize that this "fancy" new UI is a total failure and do something about it, the better. After so many complains and dislikes about it you keep walking on the same blind path, which I can only characterize it as "thin ice". I rolled back to 99 from day one and from what I see you don't seem willing to do nothing. Ten friends of mine have already moved to another browser and I'm just one step away from doing the same. You only keep pushing users away from Opera. These are the results of your unnecessary "experiments". The bottom line.
It's a pity.

But according to the Wizards here; what us complaining stupid users don't understand, is that the (silent) majority like the 100 design.
These secret unicorns think it's an improvement over 99 and want this evolution and bubble mess.
Your and my preference is the problem, not the Opera design. Who could have guessed?

I just restarted my browser and all of my open tabs were gone. Good thing I use "Session Buddy" for this very reason because this isn't the first time Opera has done this to me.
...And you still haven't fixed being able to use the scrollbar with the mouse at the edge of the screen for fullscreen windows.

what have you done to SpeedDial??? its impossible to tell what icon is what... its a total waste of space, i want large page icons instead of half of the screen being populated by gray boxes..

Don't worry. They'll soon enough find out that their magic had no effect on gaining new users. As for the "silent" majority just take a look on comments around the net. Everybody laughs. The stats speak from them self. As for us (the stupid ones), we've warned them.

@stolis The same here. I'll continue using pre-100 version for daily browsing and Chrome or Edge for online payments and etc.
I have no wish to test and post bugs here until I'll see some noticeable improvements in the One's UI/UX.Absolutely. They've messed up everything I loved on opera. Missed your nice and targeted posts by the way.

@stolis Do you know which browsers they have moved on to? I'm also looking for a new browser after being forced into Opera one. I tried Vivaldi for a few days and loved it, but it had some performance issues.
Unfortunately you'll have to test in order to find one that fits you.

I hate the border, I quickly reverted to version 99, not easy but found a youtube post which list all of the past versions. Thinking of moving over to Chrome if they do not change it back.

I'm myself satisfied with the new design, actually. Well, some edges here and there, but generally the same as before only being polished. I had no learning curve to use it right from the start.
That being said, I wouldn't call the old UI dated or lost. But that's life. Things evolve and change. And you're getting used to it and after a while you wonder, how you could like it the old way.
I even appreciate the design when compared to other browsers. Firefox is not so much different especially with the floating tabs. Edge in my opinion is a complete mess so full with M$-stuff and can only be synchronized with a Microsoft account (uugh).
Vivaldi's quite interesting and can be adjusted like nothing else. But the whole thing is buggy (I've used it for almost four years). Chrome and Brave are nearly look a likes. The latter with some self claimed privacy protection.
Which leaves only Safari with a design concept of its own. But unfortunately you can only use it on Apple devices. So it's out of the game.
So Opera for me is an astonishingly good blend of all the positives all the others have with little failures. I especially like to mention the sidebar which enhances my productivity a lot.The only thing that's still making me a bit reserved about Opera is it's Chinese ownerships. I'd wish, it would belong to a rather more pleasant bunch of people.

Aaaah!!! My main Opera browser updated to this piece of junk today. What a mess you've done to the SpeedDial as it used to be really great now it's gotten small icons that are hard to see and some shortcuts no longer have pictures just blank. Even a refresh doesn't make them come right.

Something I also notice is that the inbuilt adblocker no longer works on YouTube. I've had to install a 3rd party one. Also I'm getting the occasional crash when I'm inputting data into a field.
The new interface I can live with.. -

@old3eyes There are plenty of ways in Youtube to disable Opera Updates, one of them is here :
