We are happy to announce the release of Opera for Android 73 (73.1.3844.69816)! With this version we’ve added a quick way to switch from a webpage to a dedicated app through the page menu.

More changes/additions:

• Chromium 108
• Simplified, accountless sign-up for VPN Pro
• Improvements to the Live Score feature
• New layout option for your search bar

Also:

• Fixed Samsung Android 13 startup problem

Please try the new version and leave a comment with any feedback you may have for us. This is currently rolling out gradually, so the availability might not be immediate.

Also let me know about your experience with the bottom address bar layout.

Hello, I'd like to thank the devs for the new "search bar at the bottom" option - magnificent! However...

...it all becomes useless the moment you begin working with actual tabs, because every other element of the UI stays on top of the screen
I've scribbled the basic issues with this on a screenshot.

Could be improved with more options to move the UI elements to the bottom, or an entire mode that basically "flips" the UI.

@miyukiwork Hi i recently downloaded Opera browser (Android) I really love it. One of the best browser so far. It has features exactly I want.. I would like to make two suggestions

Option to disable AMP
&
Add custom search engine such Brave Search and you search (you.com)

Thank you for your awesome comment and suggestions. We understand AMP pages are problematic sometimes since the ad-blocker does not work with them. Regarding custom search engines, the popularity varies on country/region so we need to evaluate more about them.

Hello everybody . I have an android 13 with version one ui 5.0 with the latest version of opera for android installed January 30, 2023 , when I installed opera for android on android I put another mail account , which now I would like to change, but I'm not able because I don't remember the password and the current email synchronizes links and data, how can I change the email? Thank you.

"Open in app" option depends on if your phone has its app installed. The quickest way is to open from the page ... menu.
