<![CDATA[Opera for Android 73]]>We are happy to announce the release of Opera for Android 73 (73.1.3844.69816)! With this version we’ve added a quick way to switch from a webpage to a dedicated app through the page menu.

More changes/additions:

  • Chromium 108
  • Simplified, accountless sign-up for VPN Pro
  • Improvements to the Live Score feature
  • New layout option for your search bar

Also:

  • Fixed Samsung Android 13 startup problem

Please try the new version and leave a comment with any feedback you may have for us. This is currently rolling out gradually, so the availability might not be immediate.

"Open in app" option depends on if your phone has its app installed. The quickest way is to open from the page ... menu.

Thank you for your awesome comment and suggestions. We understand AMP pages are problematic sometimes since the ad-blocker does not work with them. Regarding custom search engines, the popularity varies on country/region so we need to evaluate more about them.

...it all becomes useless the moment you begin working with actual tabs, because every other element of the UI stays on top of the screen 😞
I've scribbled the basic issues with this on a screenshot.

Could be improved with more options to move the UI elements to the bottom, or an entire mode that basically "flips" the UI.
