Potential ToS Abuse (aka) Spam Detected in Forums

I saw a messaging notification in Opera forums (second icon from right (on top row). Here are the screen captures of the same.
I admit it has been a bit old. Nevertheless would like to bring the same to the kind attention of moderators because there is no Report Abuse option.
I am confused why it shows my name as the first one to join the room.

@lavanyadeepak-0 Next time you can just report the user profile mentioning the sending of unauthorized private message and including a screenshot of it if possible.

Just tried this with a couple of my accounts. I think that's just a result of some internal logic in NodeBB (our forum's engine) - the receiving user is always shown first when you initiate a new chat conversation with someone. It is a bit counterintuitive, I can definitely agree with that.
Cheers!

Thank you @amatczak for verifying and clarifying on the same. Perhaps this should be something we could highlight to #NodeBB for them to assess a feasibility of addressing the same.

It's definitely an option. Nodebb is open source and they have a public bug tracker here: https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues
Given the volume of the backlog I wouldn't get my hopes up that this will be treated as a priority, but there's no harm in tryingBut first it would be good to confirm on https://community.nodebb.org/ that the newest version (I assume they run their own forums on the latest release) is also affected by this behavior - since we're a few minor versions behind here.
Let me know if you have a GitHub account and are willing to push this forward yourself or should I.

@amatczak I guess it would be better if you could share on GitHub because they may need the version and other information installed.
However I have given a heads-up on NodeBB's own community over here yesterday itself:

@lavanyadeepak-0 Oh, didn't think about it but their community seems like a reasonable place to start such discussion too Let's wait to see if that gets some traction there.
