@leocg: You have answered/addressed almost nothing that I said.
- Please try to be positive/enthusiastic about Opera.
- If it is only your opinion that something can't be done please say so and try to present a work around/alternative solution.
- Try to show some understanding/empathy with those that are having trouble with some aspect of the browser.
Can you please point out the link you were referring to regarding the changes to pop out?
For reference, here is the link again: https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/01/opera-66-initial-release-makes-it-easier-to-reopen-closed-tabs-and-to-access-extensions/#comment-194622

Hi @elspivo, enable
opera:flags#enable-force-dark
, restart the browser and see if it's good enough for you. -

Open this link in a new tab: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=8895&d2=13716&s1=85550&s2=138749&i=0&l=0
Before Opera 66: The big image (Fullscreen Comparison) is focused.
Opera 66: The top of the page is "focused". -

@l33t4opera: Looks good, but I want only dark messenger on sidebar, not all websites

@burnout426 said in Opera 66 initial release makes it easier to reopen closed tabs and to access extensions:
@vegelund Goto the URL
opera://about
and take note of the "profile" path. Close Opera and open the "Preferences" file with JSONedit. Delete the "Keybindings" object. Then, under "extensions", delete the "commands" object and save your changes. Start Opera to see if the crashes go away. If so, reconfigure your shortcuts and see if they work without crashing. Thanks! I appreciate the advice, but thatβs too advanced for me. I expect a new version of a browser to work without starting to modify things.
Looks like no one else has problems with user-defined keyboard shortcuts to open sidebar extensions like V7 Notes.
Guess Iβll skip keyboard shortcuts and use Ctrl+s to open the sidebar and then click my chosen extension. Itβs only one click extra.
Knowing Opera, the next version or four down the road β everything magically works again.

Extension panel is gone. Now it is harder to use extensions in the sidebar because they are displayed only after an additional click on extension icon.

Disappointing updates!
Picture in picture option sucks now (before it was working excellent - the thing I was using Opera in the first place)
Extension: Tree Tabs is weird (it can't be resized) -

@ratamon: if you're on Windows or Linux you can re-enable it through #sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar.
