@zalex108 As far as I know, the cause goes beyond the sound playing animation in tabs.

The old WorkSpace icons (Dots) were much nicer than the current ones.

@andrew84: Just curious, why are you still using Opera vs switching to Vivaldi? What does Opera offer for you that other browsers (e.g. Vivaldi) don't?

@louay-madanat You didn't ask for me but one of my reason is couple of hundreds of tabs. Transferring my precious session is not easy. I regulardy try Vivaldi but still like Opera more for my purposes.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others. ...

@koimark Fair enough. I think Vivaldi is better for people with hundreds of tabs because of things like tab stacks, tab hibernation, sessions, etc. but then I also think there are quite a few complaints about performance when dealing with hundreds of tabs.

You can try OneTab.
Group your tabs + OneTab would be useful too.Back up Current Session - or the whole profile - before.

I will name the things that I use daily and actively
- I like the Opera's start page much better (I mean visually, not the technical aspect ft it's smooth/fast enough)
- search popup
- click on tab to scroll page up/down
- 'search with' + created search engines (Vivaldi also has that option, but there are no favicons in the dropdown)
daily, but a bit less actively
- video popup
- Quick Access(Enhanced address bar)
But I'm still on 58 version.

@andrew84 Interesting thanks, all the things you listed are indeed unique to Opera I guess.
I switched to Vivaldi a few months ago for good and I'm so glad I did. I can see you're very active with all the feedback with each release, and the Vivaldi team is much more responsive to that feedback. They interact with the community a lot more and they have more regular updates.
But if the things you listed are deal breakers then fair enough. And I'm sure the Opera team appreciates your feedback and they've released updates more frequently lately, but Vivaldi does it better from what I've seen. -

I haven't tried yet, but I heard that Yandex browser has the same video pop-out and click on tab features.
There more features like MyFlow, InstantSearch, CryptoWallet and etc., but I just don't use and don't need them.@louay-madanat said in Opera 67 developer update comes with an experimental new workspace feature:

I doubt if honestly. They usually fix clear bugs, but regarding the UI and features they have their own vision. They still think that these white contrasting selected items in dark mode look nice (since the Reborn3 announcement there were complains about it) and recently they have removed the 'Quick Access' feature.

Is the data on the tabs separated? (Or simply a separation at the interface level)

@leocg Thank you I am looking for an alternative to FF Containers for Opera.
