How to remove _all_ search engines?

There a partly method posted which fiddles with the json file. I say partly, because the Google Search Engine stays in the program. (Which is even worse than having the option to use other search engines, as Google already analyzes too much data of people). So I'm searching for a method to remove all search engines, or to edit the Google Search Engine in such a way that it simply doens't work anymore.
BTW, it seems that the major browser companies span together to make it impossible to remove the search engines, as other browsers have the same problems. -

Disable the search in the speed dial tab, then set your default search to one of the others. The search in speed dial can't be changed but can be hidden; the default can be set to any of the search engines that come with Opera, such as DuckDuckGo. No need to edit any files.

.As I said, I don't want any search engine (to function); not in speed dial, not when you make a typo in the address field, nowhere. It can't be that search engines are forced upon us. That's evil.

@mopera123 What you are talking about is called "omnibox" (url & search). It's rather easy to mod by an extension. Or find some ready made.
