I've enabled "Open links in another tab" and there is no warning.
Thanks. That may be a workaround.

I wonder if that's a bug or a feature @julianlam ?

Dark theme is underway.
Desktop notifications are possible as there is a NodeBB plugin for that already.
As for the rest - we would have to investigate.Thanks.

Suggestions:
- Answer templates.
- Saving drafts.

@zalex108 Templates - there's a plugin for that. I even considered adding it for the initial release, but decided not to overwhelm users with functionalities.
As for drafts, not sure what you need exactly. You can interrupt writing a post and navigate away from Forums, when you come back you will be able to continue with the same post. You can also "minimize" the composer by clicking the icon in the bottom-right corner. Is there some use-case that is not covered by current functionality?

I've used to use "save draft" button, and didn't found it.
Ok, being like this I'll check it.If plugins could be enabled for groups, at least could help Moderators.
The rest will wait.Thanks.

Bug, definitely reportable
We're looking into improving UX by showing a unobtrusive "Draft saved" whenever a draft is... you know, saved. But yes, it is all done behind the scenes at the moment.

I see the new email notification template is active. It looks a lot better.
I don't know if it's considered finished yet, but it'd still be nice to have the link to the post at the very top of the message. If not the very top, maybe at least make the word "reply" or "posted a reply" be a link to the post. Or, if https://forums.opera.com/assets/images/emails/header.png was an image instead of a background, make the image be a link to the post.
For example, for RSS feeds in Thunderbird, there's a "Website": header displayed as the last header in the header toolbar, which makes the link to the article appear right above the message. It's so awesome that way. There's no standard, supported way to do that with a regular email, but having the post link be at the top of the body would be great. Opera M2 didn't do this for RSS feeds, which is why SmartRSS added it, and it's super nice.

Whatever font that's used (outside of code blocks) on the forum makes zeroes and uppercase O's look almost exactly the same. If I go to google.com for example and type in the search filed and type a zero and an O, I see a way bigger difference.

0O0O0O0O... the letter O is slightly wider than the number 0, but only marginally. Other than that, no obvious difference.
0000000000
OOOOOOOOOOTen number 0, ten letter O. With that many, the width difference is obvious. On a single character, the difference is close to 10% and impossible to spot.

Actually making the top image a link is not a bad idea, I think. We'll look into it when we have time. -

new user here, not used the forum software before, but when posting a new thread or replying, and clicking submit, the way the dialog disappears made me think my post was lost to null and so I posted again, then noticed the little red dot in the bottom right.
Can I recommend coming up with something a bit more intuitive? i.e. leaving the post edit/box on screen but disabled until posted, with an indicator something is happening (that isnt in the bottom right).

oh and I just discovered it doesnt load the whole thread, but does when you scroll, but again no indication of whats going on... im on a slow ass connection in Peru and it's not a good experience at all. I still don't know if im at the bottom of the thread or if it's loading up more posts in the background.

and then I just had to wait an arbitrary 120 seconds to post that reply, the error made me think my post was lost, but fortunately i discovered clicking the red thing brought the post dialog back up. meanwhile I discover nope.. Im not at the bottom of the thread and more posts were loading.
Guys, this is a terrible experience. "frustrating", to say the least.

@kapanywi You can enable pagination in settings to see if that's better. Icon at top left of this page -> settings.

@burnout426 Thanks for that, shows how infrequently I use forums these days that I didnt think to look for a setting.
Can anyone tell me why infinite scroll is useful in a forum setting? scrolling to the future seems counter-intuitive. if it was history I could understand.

It really means to lazily load comments. Or, load comments on demand. It's basically what Facebook and Youtube do for example. The page loads a few posts and only loads when you scroll down for them.
It helps with performance (both client side and server side). And, it allows you to have all comments on a single page where you don't have to keep on clicking next, and where you don't have to wait for a zillion comments (as in, all of them) to load to really work with the page. It really sucks for searching though.
Anyway, there are pros and cons. I think it's a nice default though.
