      Opera 38.0.2220.41- Windows 7

I know there is a search engine listing/editing/add a new search option in Settings/Browser/Search/Manage Search Engines.

Is there a folder where this is located on a Windows 7 laptop?

I also know there is a list of search engines when you use the text tool to outline (turns it blue - marked) a certain text word or line in order to Right Click/Search With on that outlines text term. If I right click in a text box on a web page that searches for something in that domain, I can add that Web page search to my right click option "Search With"

However, when I go to my search engines in Settings, they are ordered ONLY alphabetically (not able to reorder them), whereas each new "search with" engine added by right clicking in a web page's search text box, the search is added at the END of the list.

So my questions is...are there two different files/locations that each of these lists are kept in, and if so, are they editable so I can reorder them??

Not sure if I explained it correctly, please query me if any here cannot understand what I am asking, thanks a lot.

It's in Opera's profile folder. You can check the path in Menu > About Opera. Custom search engines are found in the file 'Web Data'.

I guess you can't reorder them but i'm really not sure.

Leo, thanks for the help, I guess I am frustrated some by the fact that I use the "Search With" right click function so much that I want to have some more control over it. Opera Developers perhaps are unaware of some of its limitations, as well as the Search List in Settings. Old Opera 12 and below had an interesting program external to Opera that allowed a reordering of the Search Engines, if Opera was closed.

That's be on my wish list for sure.
