Reinstalling Opera

“How can I preserve my Speed Dial sites. If I re-install my os and Opera, is there a way to preserve my Speed Dial so I don't have to revisit the sites and set them up again on the new Speed Dial?”

I've recently enabled Sync between my HP Elitebook and HP Starwars computers. However, I don't see anything happening with respect to the Speed Dial page. In fact, the Elitebook search engine is now defaulting to Yahoo although I've tried to force it to go back to Google. Also, just exactly where is the profile folder: so what I get is that I same this file, the bookmarks file, then after a clean install of the os and Opera, copy the bookmarks file to the same location then my Speed Dial page will be the same as it was before the re-install? I have about 75 sites in different "folders" on the Speed Dial and it's this feature of Opera that makes me use this browser exclusively. But it's a pain in the ass to re-build after doing the occasional clean os install.

It must be shown if you visit the "About Opera" thingy there.
There must be paths there, where to find the stuff... -

I went to About Opera, found the path to the "Opera Stable" folder and copied the entire folder to the same location in another computer running Opera. The app now seems identical between the two computers so I infer that if I do a clean install and then copy that same folder to the new install it will reflect the original.

In addition to profile copying you need to sync passwords too. Opera encrypts saved passwords with windows/PC unique signature and cannot use copied ones on another computer.
