New stuff are all nice and good, but the tabs up there (in tablet mode in mobile) are way too big and long it makes it hard to navigate around them.

Goto the URL opera://about. Does the version actually say 118.00.5461.83? If not, Opera might be stuck in an update loop. You can uninstall Opera (do not choose to delete your data), delete the install folder, delete everything in "C:\Windows\temp" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp", download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", review everything and reinstall Opera. That usually fixes it if that's what you're experiencing.

If that's not it, it sounds like Opera might be having trouble writing to your files. While Opera is closed, in Windows Explorer (File Explorer), in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local", right-click on the "Opera Software" folder and click the "read only" checkbox so that it's clear (all white) and click apply. Then, switch to the security tab, make sure your username is in the list and make sure it has full permissions ("Allow" for everything except special permissions"). Then, apply and OK out. Did you use the preset domains or did you specify your own ones?

Also this extension does not download anything, which is what throws me off. All my extension does is to copy either a link to the post rewritten to e.g. fixvx.com instead of x.com or a direct link to the embedded video (if there is one) as vxtwitter.com instead of x.com

With the Video-Directlink button you can also just download the video if you open a new tab/window and CTRL+V into the URL Bar, this opens the video in your browser and you can use the burger menu (3 dots) or rightclick on the video to download it this way.

If all you need is to download images and videos:
You can already download images without any addon by rightclicking the image (preferably open it before by clicking it as twitter sometimes only preloads a smaller version first) and clicking "Save image as...".
No addon needed!

If you see any bugs or direct problems, please try to explain what you do.

Also: Please note that if your browser suspends a page or you open the browser after starting your computer and it would load x.com directly up, you will need to refresh the page once, as the extensions are getting loaded after. This is a browser behaviour.

Really handy extension — makes browsing a lot faster once you get used to the gestures. Took a bit to customize it to my liking, but now I can’t browse without it. Great work!

I tried this today. I have received confirmation from both Binance that money has been transferred and MiniPay that the money has been deposited, but my balance remained unchanged.

And no communication or alert whatsoever why my balance has not been updated.

It will really help to have live support in the app.

Don't get me wrong here but I think that the iOS app is way behind the Android app - I would safely say that the name is the same but it is a different app all together.
It seems the devs are concentrating their efforts on twicks and cosmetics rather then addressing real issues that prevent me for example from using any Opera browser for iOS and the MAJOR problem is the lack of any syncing capabilities. Think about it: if I need a browser that will not help me on my work and will not sync the browser with its desktop counterpart I can safely use Safari (I use Mac, Windows and Linux pachines). I don't really care about AI right now - I need a browser that works accross all the platforms and syncs its data in order for me to continue browsing wherever I am. Opera doesn't support that and this is really a huge problem in 2025. Nice updates but useless for me - sorry.
