I've been waiting for this huge gap being fixed for probably 10 or more updates. Still nothing. Looks like a total mess. It's only present with the autohide sidebar, which I use, because it's there for a reason. There is also a tiny gap between the edge of the screen and the sidebar itself, but let's say it's visually bearable...

@hexxangst: Hello, in developer version it is already fixed; on stable the fix should work from version 136.

In Ubuntu, pressing Alt+Tab twice closes the floating side panel. This is the wrong behavior and is very annoying.

Chromium now has vertical tabs, but without the stuck Always on Top etc dialog in Opera for Linux, which has remained for several weeks.
