@proshor Has been removed but the outdated instructions are copy pasted over and over. Why @Zandocarl copy pasterd an instruction which doesn't work is beyond me. He says it himself:
Another way is this, but I tried and it didn't work
It just confuses those who miss the didn't work part.

@proshor I don't know. After updating Developer I also got this welcome page> https://www.opera.com/client/upgraded-dev.
So the welcome page is more than enough to notify user about update (It also would be good to add some links on this page, the links could point to blog post and changelog). -

@tentiuzyou I second the motion, the opera one opening sequence is loud and i get up early., and the sound is loud enough to wake my whole house, (and frightens my mom with alzeimer. I use opera as my main browser for my work and daily projects. I love using opera but i can't disrupt the delicate balance of my home. I am not a gamer and was fine with the old opera, wonder if can i regress back to the original? or is there an option to silence the opening sequence on OperaOne? I don't want to shop for and set up a new browser..

There's already a huge, long thread where folks are posting a solution.
Do a search.

Hello,
how can i disabile the startup animation in Opera? I find it extremely annoying, especially the fact that it emits a loud sound no matter what time of the day or night it is.
My version is Opera One 103.0.4928.34 for Window 10.If the startup animation cannot be disabled, is there at least a way to remove its sound? I don't want to start Opera at 1 am and wake everyone up.
Thank you.

@zandocarl The first option, the file needs to be searched in the opera folder. And then after it's deleted, there no more annoying splash screen.
Best regards. -

I am very patient with Opera issues. But this one is stupid, annoying and stupid. And I don't see an option to turn this shit altogether. I am speaking about this f...ing splash screen, that some designers worked for years, then programmers programmed for weeks and now I just need 10 seconds of method to kick it in the ass.
How to turn this off or goodbye Opera?

Hello
How to disable the sound that accompanies the launch of the Opera One 103.0.4928.26 64-bit browser?
How to disable the logo pop-up that appears when Opera One starts up?
Regards

There's no option to control it. But, it should only show up after an update from one major version to another (103 to 104 for example).
However, whenever Opera has a bug where it shows up every single time you start Opera, you can avoid it by deleting opera_gx_splash.exe in the latest version folder in the install folder.
Btw, 104.0.4944.36 is the latest version at this moment.

@xishiliya It was refreshing the first time, but after it is just annoying. It should be option tu turn off completely. It is option to turn off, but it is ignored first run after an update.

@emivy This disables it for normal runs, but after each update of the browser, it shows again and plays the sound on first run, even with this setting set to disabled.

@waldoawesome Yes, it's expected to show up after major versions updates.
