@lth2h Okay, so it seems that it isn't available in Opera for Mac.

@lth2h On Windows there is Custom Dictionary.txt and words added to the dictionary shows up there.

Do you have any Dictionary or Huspell folder under Opera's profile directory?

In ~/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera there is a dictionary directory. It contains only dictionaries.xml which looks more like data telling where to download dictionaries and giving licensing and author information.

@lth2h I remember that there used to be some .zip files with the dictionaries. But I guess before Opera start using Chromium dictionaries.

Add a new word, then search for files modified at that time?

                    Hi! Same problem here.
I find out, that custom dictionary is stored at: /System/Volumes/Data/Users/username/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera/Custom Dictionary.txt

@bo3gyx I tried to delete that incorrect word from the file, tried to delete this file, tried to add new word into this custom dictionary but opera thinks that the first incorrect word is still correct. 😞
Also, opera restart and reboot of mac not helped...

                        find the solution!
your also need to delete incorrect word from:

                        /System/Volumes/Data/Users/username/Library/Spelling/LocalDictionary

                        and reboot your mac.
after that - everything is ok!

@leocg The question was not to remove the language but to remove a single word. And that problem still exists.

Anyway, Opera uses the macOS spell checker so the user defined dictionaries are in ~/Library/Spelling.
