Opera refresch the Desktop when i start it.

Why does Opera refresh my desktop by starting?
What can I do to eliminate this problem?

All the icons on the desktop disappear and reappear really fast just like they do when you right-click on the desktop and choose "refresh"? If so, I can't confirm, but some users have had this issue for years.

@treego Might be limited to Windows 7 or < 10. I'm on 10.

Developer does that on my Windows 10 (64-bit) - when I use the taskbar icon, which is almost all the time. Good odds that the desktop shortcut (and other shortcuts for that matter) do not have the same effect, as the taskbar icon is special. I'll test it shortly though.

Sorry, on my system both the desktop and start menu shortcuts also force a desktop redraw. Perhaps related to accelerated graphics on certain hardware, then - I have AMD/ATI graphics here ...

@sgunhouse Yes, perhaps. Intel Graphics here with default Win10 wallpaper (just in case it makes a difference).

My wallpaper is not quite default, but all non-animated wallpapers should be the same I would think. That is, if your wallpaper is simply an image (not some HTML file or animation) then I can't imagine why they should care what it is.

I noticed similar behavior(but in process, not on start), I usually use browser full screen and I can't see desktop icons refreshing, but all task bar pinned icons reappearing sometimes(I use pinned Opera shortcut). Happens if only Opera is opened. Win 8.1x64. Also, I can't remember such behavior in 51(recently I upgraded 51 to 54 on one PC)
