Happens if only Opera is opened. Win 8.1x64. Also, I can't remember such behavior in 51(recently I upgraded 51 to 54 on one PC)</p>

That is, if your wallpaper is simply an image (not some HTML file or animation) then I can't imagine why they should care what it is.</p>

Perhaps related to accelerated graphics on certain hardware, then - I have AMD/ATI  graphics here ...</p>

Good odds that the desktop shortcut (and other shortcuts for that matter) do not have the same effect, as the taskbar icon is special. I'll test it shortly though.</p>

If so, I can't confirm, but some users have had this issue for years.</p>
