Also, some programs like Kaspersky can update Opera for you automatically. If you have a program like that, make sure its program updating is disabled.
If you get Opera via some package manager like Chocolatey etc., you'll want to make sure it doesn't update Opera on you.
@bbildman Under the "Sync Data" section on the opera://settings/syncSetup page, there's just the option for "Bookmarks", which includes speed dials (as they're bookmarks too). There's no option to sync only speed dials.
@chawoobie I find that if I use a User Agent switcher, I can access xfinity sites just fine, so it seems that xfinity just doesn't like Opera. Yet I can use Braave, which has fewer users, without problem. All other sites work fine with Opera so it seems xxfinity is block the Opera User Agent, or some such thing.
@eltoddo Opera One having side profile support like Opera GX would indeed be nice. Even just multiple profiles in the UI the way Chrome does it would be welcome..
Being able designate a specific profile for a workspace would be pretty neat too. I suspect that’s a lot more work, but would indeed be cool.
