Yes. Reporting the same thing lots of times would probably juts make people wasting time marking them as duplicates of the original report and would not speed up the process of fixing the issue.

Because I do it for years an guess what???

I've been using Opera since a long time and just recently I've started reading about that issue. So I guess it may not be something that lots of people are facing.
There may be many reasons for a bug to not be fix, like:
Bad reporting of the problem
Bug not being reproducible
Fix depending on a third part
etc
What is the bug ID? Have you ever tried to mention it here (without the @ part) so people can know it exists and turn it easier for Opera's people to find it?

That's why I'm not use opera forum for a long time. Also I've taken few times screenrecords with this behaviour but as I said for years nothing...

Thanks, but ... This requires (a) an exit method that is not like most apps and (b) confirmation step that I want to close tabs.
Normal app closing behavior in Android 5+ is to just swipe it away.
I keep hoping there's an option to "not restore tabs" or something like that hidden away in there somewhere... like Dolphin has, for example.
I'd prefer to use Opera on desktop and phone but so far can't get past the phone annoyances.

Uh, they don't seem to be sticking for me - which version is it that finally implements this, because I believe this one is second latest - I had some issues with the latest with my other phone and didn't upgrade this as I don't have space for alternative browser for pages that it affects so I'll upgrade if it gets fixed (I don't remember what it was, but I sent a report of it and saved a copy on my PC for later reference).

I'm baffled that it has taken insane amount of time to get it done right, it seems that opera didn't realize they have major portion of their users hackers and power users who value ability to modify their systems to fit their preferences way more than average user and dumbing down is shunned among them - most average users don't know me than two or three browsers if they even know they have a choice, and opera isn't one of them.
Back when dumb phones were all there was, except those rare Symbian or other lesser known ones and opera mini meant J2ME you used to know your target group - but then you went from unique to another chromium fork (and lost many of your users - I never upgraded to that and the last true opera on my PC is getting badly outdated) on desktop and that was when I got first sign that there has been a major shift in opera design philosophy.

I have Opera and Opera Mini installed, and now I get ads for Opera Max and/or Coast 😞

Quite frankly tht behaviour seems pretty pathetic, do you really need those installations that badly??

@jonaballen Thx for the detailed response. As long as you state it I have to believe you now 😛 , I should do some better tests I guess when I'll have more time as from those that I did in quite a hurry in the summer where I was needing a good data saving but without breaking everthing like Opera Mini's extreme mode does, it proved out that by disabling the images with opera for android the data usage was about the same or just very insignificant less than Opera Mini's on high savings with images on low, which was pretty wierd.

P.S. Out of genuine interest why is disabling images not an option for Opera Mini as well (on high savings of course not on extreme) is that a webview limitation?

Because the feature was never implemented. Don't know if it's due to some limitation.

What if you just type the address without the ftp:// part?

Thanks for that suggestion because it worked. After a bit of testing, each time clearing browsing history, it appears:
ftp://+address ->google search for ftp://+address
ftp address only -> ftp site
usual web address with or without http:// -> website

Also suggested sites before pressing enter appear to come from browsing history, which is much better than I previously thought. I still suspect browsing history is going to google 'on the fly', not an issue if it doesn't include credentials like names and passwords.
So thanks for your suggestion, the bottom line I guess is hopefully the opera devs could check/ensure that such details can't be passed to any search engine.

There's no possibility how to print pages, how to send page to wifi printer. Why? Could you add it? It's 21st century, not Middle-ages.

It is the 21st Century. So why are you still printing? Shouldn't every thing be digital? All Joking Aside, Most Mobile browsers do not have a printing Option. This isn't just Opera but UC, Firefox etc. If you need to print, You'll need to use Chrome at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience. Feel free to add your suggestion to our suggestion box

Also Google's Chrome does this option so... Opera lacks.
