When I try to set up a custom DNS, Opera always tell me that I should please verify that the provider is valid and I should have a working network connection.
Opera is supposed to check if the provider is valid and not showing me that error message. If the provider is valid, it should display the name of the DNS. Also, I don't think the built-in DNS (Google and Cloudflare) is working.

The Android service is still gone, but they got the desktop function running again. I managed to empty my wallet. Zero loss. I'm happy again.

@leocg my device is Android 14, Honor V3. Android supported this feature since Android 9. There will be some changes in Android 15

Could you make a screenshot of the Settings->Download page, there should be new download settings. "Download" shoud be also a new entry in the settings menu, is this right?

I'm aware of the workarounds but it seems this is the only Android browser I have used that restricts me form using the folder I want on my SD.
I'm trying to find out what are Opera's privacy concerns when I try to use this folder.
