Hi,

when you press synchronisation button on the right, type your credentials and then select 'Choose what to synchronise' link. There will be 'Bookmarks' on the checklist visible on 'Advanced Synchronisation Settings' window.

Are those crashes happen on Youtube videos or some other sites? And is it YT full screen or browser option?

If you can put this command in your Terminal:
export OPERA_CRASH_EMAIL=username@opera.com

and tell me what email you put there (it does not have to be your email, just some email address that let me find you in out Crashlog Analysis Tool) that would be very helpful.

same for me...after the most recent update on mac..keeeps on asking all the keychain passwords that i dont want to share!!!!
JUST STOP IT OPERA..it is unusable now with the popups..I DONT NEED YOUR HELP OPERA...what can i do?? anyone?
Opera adds Auto space everywhere!! ITS REALLY ANNOYING!!!

Sorry for delay, have been w/o service. In answer to bordonidev I'm no longer using Chrome, only Opera v. 39.0.2256.48. To 'arepocam' I have 9 Opera Helper running now. They're consuming probably less than 2% CPU. But under the Memory Tab those 9 Opera Helpers are probably consuming 5 or 6 times the amount of memory than the next 2 highest combined, Opera and DropBox. On the other hand, since the day when I initiated the post where my Opera was running more slowly, that had been going on for a couple of days. Since then including now, the system is running quite well and satisfactorily fast. So perhaps something else was going on back then. I have started shutting down Opera every night, and my Mac every 2 or 3 nights; perhaps that's helping too. Thanks to you both for coming to my aid.

Hi @shwh, not in the Opera 39 yet, but you can give a try to the Opera beta 40, in which you can add your custom RSS feeds - please have a look here. Please be aware, that this feature is still under development, and therefore you can experience some issues, when using it 😉

Flash plug-in is not included in the Opera browser.

You have to install it yourself (version PPAPI is automatically selected) from Adobe. The plugin will automatically update (this can be changed in the System Preferences of your Mac)

If you need control over blocking advertisements or simply need to block some ads manually - Install uBlock. If you do not mind that sometimes some ad can not be locked properly, or you'll sometimes see an ugly empty space on the ads on certain websites - use Opera blocker.

I did not notice the differences in speed both blockers. There is no difference in CPU usage. At least I can not see it.
Can't open Opera.

Mine won't open after the update, either. Opera logo in launcher just bounces three times then automatically quits.
Opera spontaneously becomes the mail client by default

I'm not able to reproduce this issue on my Macbook Air, tried also on retina display. Maybe try cleaning you cache and that will help.

On that version it was happening for the 9 Macs here at the Company, but it was fixed (as I said Above)

Truth. In Google Chrome, you can cover these unwanted icons extensions - are then available at a convenient menu. In Opera always see colorful trashy icons and additionally the button "share", which also can not hide. 😞

@coldrick: Developer is our experimental stream and as such it breaks now and then and contains bugs (it's the price you pay for living on the edge!). The release notes for that particular snapshot (http://www.opera.com/blogs/desktop/2016/07/opera-developer-40-0-2288-0-update/) mention that Netflix is broken in that build. Just wait for the next build (which will probably be out today or tomorrow), or if you're really impatient, use Beta or Stable for now.

Thank you for the suggestion, kmielczarcyk. I followed your instructions, but nothing changed.

I actually do not fully understand your suggestion. Doesn't Keychain just store and insert the user name & password into the correct app/website? As I stated in my original post, the username & password were already being populated. It's just that they were not bringing me right to being logged on. What I'm not seeing on these pages is the checkbox "stay signed in". Could that be the issue? And what could be the solution? And, I was just using Facebook & LinkedIn as examples. The issue occurs with many websites, but only with Opera.
