I'm not sure of the correct terminology for all of this. The problem occurs when using the chat function in Moodle (a learning management system). Browsers used to have what was called a "status bar" along the bottom of the browser window, and things like the URL preview would show up there.

How do I a) activate a status bar on the bottom or b) turn off the URL preview that hovers over the bottom left corner?
