  I agree with you completely about the possible security implications of replacing even one plugin file from the Java installation with an older version, and I did make that point in my earlier posts.
  I only offered this as a workaround for anyone who wanted to use it, but at their own risk of course!

  raf, yeah but if you have to go to the file explorer (which may not be open at the time) that means you have to boot up explorer, migrate to the folder the file is in and THEN double click. As to setting opera 27 as the default browser to open files like mht defeats my already default app of Opera 12.17, which I use MOST of the time...as Opera 27 has as yet not even come close to providing me with the kind of options I require for a browser (as in Opera 12.17). When I need Opera 27, I simply do a "Open With Opera" from within my 12.17.

  The ctrl + O is actually the answer I was looking for, thanks.

  I realized that the problem is not in the flash player! Even without flash, Opera dims аnd window moves. In new version too. The problem is in Opera... 😞

  Security errors are common in 12, so I had to ask ...

  Turbo makes all plugin content "click to play", as well as compressing data.

  You said Opera 12 ... the browser is several years old, and the security certificates have probably expired in that time. I have seen discussion of updating them - but you have to ask whether you trust the person posting the update.

  The Wall Street Journal lists Opera ASA as having 985 employees ( http://quotes.wsj.com/NO/OPERA ). Obviously, only a smallish fraction would be developers, and only a sub-fraction of those would be focused on the desktop browser versions.

  Well, I never knew that! It does help, although it also renders the text very small on the folders list on the left, or if you switch to list view. Like you I mostly use list view, think I'll stick with it.

  New Opera will never be like old Opera 12. Some features are gone. Try Vivaldi or Otter browser if you something like Opera 12 😉

  Hello

  PC has been running since Dec 13, 2014 without restart. Opera has only one profile and any cache hasn't been cleared AFAIK.
  Is there any actual file to check for history?

  Thank you!! Going to Google.com and setting the zoom back to 100% took care of it. I had no idea that Opera saved such parameters on a per-website basis. And I also find it somewhat alarming that Opera does actually keep a record somewhere of the websites that I've visited even I empty the cache after leaving each website. Is there a way to delete all those records?
