  Thank you, that worked. It's pretty sad that there isn't even an option in settings to turn auto-update on or off. That is a pretty basic feature.

  The problems with Opera appears to have been corrected by restoring the computer to an earlier time then downloading a fresh Opera therefore I will call this issue resolved.

  I believe the situation was created by my efforts to remove a re-direct malware that had attached itself to my Interenet Explorer.

  Hi, I'm who started this discussion. Because the certificate issue I switched from Opera 20 to Firefox, but now I'm trying Opera 30 and it seems this issue has been fixed. I've not made any change in my OS, so I figure all credit must go to Opera developers. Maybe Opera has now its own certificates like Firefox?... I don't know, but in any event problem solved!

  Everything is working good on Opera version 30.0.1835.59. My suggestion is to update your browser and check if Adobe Flash Player is up to date (version 18.0.0.160).

  No, but you can disable it if you like. If you have Power User mode enabled you will find 'Hide the search box in Speed Dial' in settings.

  Is the website that you are going to using flash? For example, YouTube uses HTML5 for its videos and that doesn't need a plugin so the 'click to play' option does not effect it.

  Click to play in settings only works on plugins. If you have YouTube set to feed you the HTML5 version of the website then it wont use the Flash plugin for the video and Opera wont be able to block it. Either switch back to using the Flash version of YouTube or download an extension for Opera such as Magic Actions for YouTube or some such.

  Nope, first save Thumbnail in bookmark, then from Bookmark Tab make it to speed dial...

  It should use the same image used in the bookmarks manager.
