  This is support forum, not the manchild tantrum forum. Also, we aren't the devs, so we can't fix the problem. Its kind of like screaming at your neighbor because your cable went out. We can sympathize but can't do anything about it.

  I just noticed, that this problem does not just appear in Opera. In Winamp, the fonts are broken, too. So it seems to be a general problem with my PC.

  No. The internet cache is just the files and web pages saved onto your hard drive from normal web browsing. Bookmarks and such are separate from that.

  Do you use any antivirus, antimalware or similar program? If so, check with them disabled.

  Also check if writing is allowed in Opera's profile folder.

  Bump.... i have been discovered the "bug", but not solution... when the session.db is more large than 5 MB, the opera session crahes every time, and i need clean the file "session.db", or clean the cache browser..... why happening that's failure, i dont know, is strange because in the other machine, dont happening that..... somebody can help?

  What version of Opera are you using? In versions where bookmarks had only recently been added that was an issue but they've improved it since then IIRC.

  I confirm OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED can't stop auto-updates from happening by itself anymore.

  If you really want to stop the auto-updates try this:

  Set the OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED environment variable, you still need it to prevent Opera attempt to auto-update when you run it. Search for the Windows' task scheduler, it's a Control panel item. You should see a list where one of the items is "Opera scheduled Autoupdate (...)", right-click it and select disable.

  But please don't do that if you aren't dependent on a feature that has been changed or removed in the latest versions. If you absolutely must do this, don't forget to check info about new versions once in a while, they contain security updates and will give the best compatibility with websites, the system, etc.

  Having the same problems.

  Tried re-installing 100 times now.
  Using Windows 7 Enterprise (SP1)

  It doesn't matter if i install it on a different folder or the standard. It just won't start up.

  Problem is that, Opera will send it when it like to send.

  I have this in the outbox & keep nagging me the error dialogue box, I return later on to my desk & it sent during I was away.

  Don't understand why Opera behave this SMTP error.

  In 12, I usually look in the Info panel for whatever scripts are used to place the ads and then add those to the content blocker. No extensions, no CSS (though it will usually leave empty spaces where the ads would have been that way) ... but it's been years since I looked at Yahoo.

  The only working solution is to block access to address "autoupdate.opera.com" in your firewall (or add it to the Hosts file if you don't have a FW). I don't know why Opera team is still disabling TLS 1.1 and 1.2 remotely on all clients...

  Have you tried the opera:config method noted above in <https://forums.opera.com/post/55410 >? Regardless, some time ago, I also blocked Opera's autoupdater (via renaming the updater file) just to be sure my own settings aren't perturbed any more. As to why Opera continues disabling TLS 1.1 and 1.2, I believe there's a definite though not universal stability problem for some users and sites if those settings are turned on with SSL3 turned off (see: <https://forums.opera.com/post/55555 > plus a myriad of past posts in various forums). I think Opera has set their update server to auto-respond to every Presto Opera startup "ping" with their SSL-TLS fix instructions. In the past, they've auto-delivered JavaScript updates and other things at that startup point, so it's not unprecedented.
