The Gmail info in http://operawiki.info/WebMailto should still work. Just set it after you upgrade to 12.17 if you're using 12.16.

If you're using Opera 20, you can just use the Gmail Compose Extension. Or, if you're using Opera 12, the older versions of the extension (1.7 for example) are here.

The extension doesn't handle mailto URIs typed into the address field though. It only handles links on web pages (due to Opera not offering enough power to extensions).

And Opera 20 is based on Chromium 33 of course.

Srware Iron is up to Chromiun 34 now, I guess Opera will update soon ?

But that aside, why does Opera 12.16 not find an update when I tell it to check for updates?

If you are using Opera for Windows (what i think you are based on the forum where this topic was created) then it should have found 12.17 as an update.

Opera Presto will not upgrade to Opera Blink because the last is considered a new product and not and upgrade. Maybe it may change in the future but only time will tell.
Where is "wand" to auto-fill passwords and usernames?

Well, it grabbed my all my wand passwords from the previous installations (I can see them in the settings) but it only shows ONE user/pass per page.

Click on the login/username field and press the down arrow key. Or start typing you other username.

Many thanks for the help DVK, got it working and will use this in the mean time! If only you could set cache settings through the browsers GUI leaving out things like this.

Do you use any extensions? If so, try disabling them to check if the problem still happens.

yes that would probably do it, disable the VLC plugin on the plugins page in Opera unless someone knows how to make any certain plugin as default for any file types.
