RE: [Solved]Cycle tabs once again, or switch between first and last tabOpera for computers
I found out, that I don't have this problem in Opera on my other computer (identical version and identical configuration and identical system). I reinstalled Opera and everything works fine now.

[Solved]Cycle tabs once again, or switch between first and last tabOpera for computers
I don't like the pages preview on Ctrl+Tab.
So I remapped Ctrl+Tab from "cycle" to "switch right through tabs".
Now I cannot cycle from last tab into the first one.
Does anyone have idea how to fix it? -
RE: [Solved]Annoing set default program popup each time I run OperaOpera for Windows
OK, problem is solved for me.
I opened Opera, windows setting panel showed up, like always.
I change default browser to Edge and default mail program to Mail.
Then I closed Opera, opened it again and setting panel did not showed up!
So I closed Opera, opened Windows setting by myself and changed Opera to my default browser.
And everything works.I'm quite sure I tried this before, so maybe some magic is involved.
I hope I helped somebody. -
RE: [Solved]Annoing set default program popup each time I run OperaOpera for Windows
The only thread I found is this: https://forums.opera.com/topic/16423/opera-on-windows-10-acting-strange
It's closed and it ends with: "Oh, never mind, I will use some other browser... Who cares... Anyway, thank you all for your time!"I didn't found solution, so if somebody knows something, don't hesitate to help.
I found out, that setting panel is not showing up, if I run Opera as Admin user (with I don't want to do, obviously).

[Solved]Annoing set default program popup each time I run OperaOpera for Windows
Each time I run Opera I see window with default program configuration: http://screencast.com/t/o85mzHUgwxm. It opens each time and drives me crazy. How to get rid of this?
To start Opera I click on shortcut linked to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe".
Opera is my default browser: http://screencast.com/t/pRnUx0QImJD.
I use Windows 7
I use Opera 39.0.2256.48 -
RE: http://dailymotion.com/stream does not work (Opera 23)Opera for Windows
After enabling "Proprietary media types" flag I have issues on some sites in Opera 23. For example this site crashes: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2091647642/skea-smart-kegel-exercise-aid (don't judge).
It works fine after disabling "Proprietary media types".
I don't recommend to change this flag in Opera 23 to anyone.
It works fine in Opera 24. -
RE: Easy keyboard-based navigation, the old "search for link" + enter trickOpera for Windows
One more hint: I found Vimium extention very usefull:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vimium/dbepggeogbaibhgnhhndojpepiihcmebusage:
- press f
- shortcuts to all links will show up
This is Chrome extension, so you need to install this extension first:

RE: Easy keyboard-based navigation, the old "search for link" + enter trickOpera for Windows
There is no such feature in new Opera, like searching for the link. However, you can still search for a text and you can use this feature in navigation purpose:
- Ctrl+F
- search for a text
- hopefully you are on the link, if not, use F3
- Ctrl+Enter

RE: http://dailymotion.com/stream does not work (Opera 23)Opera for Windows
I can confirm exactly the same behaviour on Windows 7.
After changing "Proprietary media types" flag, the page crashes in 23, but works in 24.Thank you for your help.

RE: When will right click block content make its come back?Opera for Windows
It will not, I guess.
If you want to remove ads, I recommend this extension:
https://addons.opera.com/pl/extensions/details/opera-adblock/Otherwise, you need to find an extension, that fits you best. After 1 minute search I got this link:

I did't test it. You must find, what is best for you. - Opera for Windows

You are not alone. It drives me crazy, too. Does anyone know the answer?

RE: Navigation over linksOpera for Windows
I believe you may be able navigate links with the keyboard, using Vimium, though am not certain. But if not that specific feature, you can do tons of other things with the keyboard that you could not do with Opera Presto.
I believe you cannot navigate links with Vimium, but you can open links using short labels, with is usually very good alternative.
In clean Opera you can as well use comma key to find link (if you turn on advanced shortcuts, otherwise you can use ctrl+f) and open this link with Ctrl+Enter.I have one question about Vimium.
There is one very useful option in documentation:
"<a-f> : Open multiple links in a new tab".
Did anyone make it run in Opera Blink? -
RE: [Opera 21] Annoying new behavior with [CTRL] + [Backspace]Opera for Windows
I had the same problem. Sorry to say, but I changed a lot of things and I don't know with one actually helped.
For sure, I have Opera 21.0 on Windows and Ctrl+Backspace works fine now.
I know disabled all add-ons and disabled advanced keyboard shortcuts in options.
Try and share results, please. -
Navigation over linksOpera for Windows
I believe navigation over links doesn't work in Opera 20:
"Shift+Left, Shift+Right, Shift+Up, and Shift+Down select the next link or form input in that direction."
(quote from http://www.opera.com/help/tutorials/nomouse/#essential)Did shortcuts change, or functionality goes away? Is there any add-on or some trick I can use?

RE: Does Opera Software aim for simplicity, or functionality?Future releases
Thank you all for great answers.
Do you think, Opera can compete Chrome, with being similar?
I'm thinking: this is a big change of target group. It looks like Opera resign from their existing users (strange guys, who want something different), and looks for typical users.
I'm not saying it's bad. Obviously there are more typical users, than strange users, but it means greater competition as well. It may be cost-effective, but Opera must fight with other similar browsers. How can Opera beat Chrome? Do you think, Opera Software has an ace up its sleeve?
PS I'm a big fan of Opera. This is why I'm concerned.

Does Opera Software aim for simplicity, or functionality?Future releases
I believe, Opera 12.X is no longer supported, but still Opera 21 looks like a draft to me.
I wonder, where is it going.Don't take me wrong: I believe Opera Software is able to make a good browser, as they did before.
I just want to know, what Opera Software wants to achieve. What I really miss in new Opera is bunch of personalisation options, that were available in Opera 12. User experience was good, because we could configure interface as we wanted. On the other hand, in Opera 21 we cannot even change keyboard shortcuts, or configure UI elements. What I really want is more options. This is why I ask the question:
Does Opera Software aim for simplicity, or functionality?
