One major reason to install software into Appdata folder is limited users inability to install into normal (programfiles) folder. Non-administrative users can't install anything into programfiles, but they can install things into Appdata... Chrome started (or more likely it was first major application with) this stupidity and Microsoft does not care.
If Chrome would require admin approval to install in all limited corporate computers, then most likely it would not have been that widespread.

Kind of. I'm saying to have the tab bar be at the top of the window, the title bar can't be showing. Then, since the title bar isn't showing, the tab bar needs to double as a title bar by supporting some of the things a real title bar does. In Opera's case, the tab bar doesn't support the system color stuff that you like.

Because digital code and circuitry involves 1's and 0's, not approximations or rationalizations. A cert that's out of date (hence, a potential security risk, in theory) is... out of date, whether by 1 day or 1 year. The cert test looks for a cert that is valid and current for a web site, full stop... if it fails to find that, it fails with the error message like you saw.

The cert test validation-tests the cert itself... it doesn't know (or care) if it's a little volunteer organization or a bank containing (or pretending to contain) all your assets.

Https should only have ever been used for banking and other security conscious activities. To have it on every single website is just hassle and expense. For example why are we using https to post to this forum? If somebody impersonated this forum, what financial loss would I get? None!

And back to my point, it should be easier for a user to disable it.

@hucker If I don't mistake, it's an chromium's feature to keep history for 90 days only. There's no option selecting the auto delete period.

@hucker Without knowing the content of the bug report and the content of the message, I can't say.

Next time I see a bug I will try remember to report it there to see what message I will get.

Opera doesn't retrieve any unread count or anything like that. It just shows the title of the page in the state it was when you added the page as a speed dial. So, whatever count the page showed in the title at the time of adding the speed dial is what Opera will show. Refreshing the start page won't load a speed dial's page from the server to fetch its current title and update the speed dials title/name for you.

@hucker I'm not sure if you can change the number of connections.
Having more than 4 connections to a server wasn't very common and since there aren't updates in about a decade....

You can try taking a look at those configuration files (in) to see if you find something.

I don't know the terminology. I mean I type a word into the address bar and it fills in things I've typed before. For example, type "Joe Bloggs" into the address bar and it will search for Joe Bloggs. Now type "Joe" into the address bar and it will fill it to "Joe Bloggs". If I simply type "Joe" and press enter without looking, it searches for the wrong thing.

@burnout426 Yes I thought it should be cookies. I don't restrict any cookies, and I've never noticed any missing.

I see it very often, it must be every update. Next time it happens I'll suggest to the site they shouldn't be checking the version number of the browser, as they often change!

Oops, seems it's an extension, again. I blame Ebay, why do they keep messing about with their site? I'm guessing their buttons look like ads, although they're still showing, I just can't click them.

It was the no script extension, which never did what I got it for (stopping pages preventing right click to save images). I have angrily uninstalled it and told them why.

You don't need an extension. If you open the developer tools while the image is there, you can see all the images on that page in a list, and you can right click and save. Detailed instructions at https://www.alphr.com/save-images-when-right-click-is-disabled/ It's for Chrome, but it works in Opera too.,

@burnout426 Maybe they changed it on your version. My friend sends me photos by email from his Iphone and they're heic unless he remembers to convert them for me. Probably depends on the program you share them with, I believe he uses the default Apple email system.

The only happy one. Below is an example of a Windows 11 taskbar and start menu.

The icons are in the middle of the taskbar, what on earth?! What are those icons on the taskbar? So now we have to learn the symbol for every app we install. What was wrong with words written in English? Pinned? Seriously? My start menu automatically puts the apps I use most in a list, most used first. If you've ever used it in that horrid mode without a 3rd party fix, you'll realise the recommended section is never of any use whatsoever. It puts a document in there you opened once and probably won't again. It mixes documents with apps. What a mess. It's full of ads. Windows has now become 99% adware. A paid for OS is supported by ads, not acceptable. Those icons at the bottom, which of them are running apps and which are links to apps? The only change is a little dot below them, not very clear, they've ruined it and made it like Mac OS. Windows 7 perfected the interface and it's been downhill ever since.

Just compare this mess with my simple easy to use one I pasted earlier:
