After the upgrade to 76.0.4017.94, the Recently Closed Tabs function is not working fine. It only shows some closed tabs but not all. It's like after a certain time, the list of tabs stops updating.

From Opera 60 beta, when we choose to show a screenshot of the page in the Speed Dial, you hardly see anything. And if we zoom in the Speed Dial to see the larger tiles, we see how the quality of the images contained in them is degraded too much.

Why this change?
Please, at least give to us the option to choose the size of the Speed Dial tiles.

For me, Speed Dial is one of the best things of Opera. It's one of the main reasons why I have been using it for many years. Besides using it to have a quick and visual access to the pages that I visit the most, it also helps me to add reminders of pages that I have to visit or products that I have to buy. It's really a very useful function. If at the end they reduce the size and quality of the images of the tiles, I don't know what advantages it has over using the bookmarks bar of any other browser.

Incredible but they have eliminated the option to continue using it in Opera 70.
Was it so difficult, at least, to leave the flag to continue using the button?

Why their effort to eliminate useful functions?
Do you want us to move from Opera to another browser?

Can the Account button be removed if sync is not used?

I really like the new option for dark web pages but I've seen that it also changes pages that are already dark (some of them looks worse with the dark mode). I think Opera should try to detect the background color and if it is a dark tone then do not modify them.

Anyway, thank you very much for those improvements.

I've seen that the Opera 66.2 update add in-app purchases. I would like to know the reason for this because I have not found the post with information about this new version.

The functionality is NOT the same. More clicks, less items, and LESS functionality. I can't understand how Opera still insists on removing useful functions or hiding them.

There were already people complaining during the beta and nobody asking to make smaller tiles and they have decided to continue with that. I have very little hope of them going back

Thanks for this update. I love that the full recently closed tabs menu has returned and that we can also access to it with a long press on the "+" icon of the tablet mode.

That's what happens to me sometimes when I open Opera for the first time right after starting Windows (also on Windows 7 x64). That message appears to me even though later settings and history remain but I lose all the sessions opened on the websites.

I have had to create a backup copy of the "Cookies" and "Web Data" files located in
...\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable
and overwrite the current ones with them when that error occurs so I don't have to log in again at all websites.

@miyukiwork Thanks for the better handling of Speed Dial shortcuts and for adding new features to ad blocking. I see useful improvements in Opera for Android while the desktop version removes them.

That started happening to me today, just before I upgraded to Opera 72. With the new version, the message keeps popping up. And if I check the extensions manager, it doesn't show any updates.

@andrius-s I just backup and restore "Cookies" and "Web Data" files (without extension) located in that folder. It may only needed one of those two, but I'm not sure.

@miyukiwork Thanks for finally including the keyboard shortcuts in Opera Android.
What I think could be improved is the tool to take screenshots. I miss being able to directly make a square crop of the image and the ability to make a scroll capture of the web pages.

Something similar is happening to me since this afternoon . And now, when I reopen Opera, Speed Dial is empty. I also try to save the bookmarks but I touch save and they are not saved.
All very strange because web browsing is working.

@tapedi2471 Yes, the file size is almost the same as the backup that I made before. The error happened to me again a few days ago with Opera 70. Instead of fixing long-lasting bugs like this, they are dedicated to removing good features.

@zalex108 Now, they added an option to make the tiles bigger in the Easy Setup panel of Opera 61 Developer.

Pressing and holding the back button in Opera to view the visited pages causes a forced close.

Instead, doing the same with the back button on the navigation bar works as expected.

In my case I have Opera configured to start only with Speed Dial.
The error only happens to me sometimes but always when opening Opera for the first time after starting Windows.
As it seems to be related to the high demand on system resources from other processes after starting Windows, I usually try to wait a bit to start Opera. In this way it seems that the error occurs much less often.
My system: Intel i7 8GB - Windows 7 x64
