[Solved] Recently Closed Tabs option does not work

Suddenly all is good here with respect to this problem! There was not even an Opera update. How did that happen? Can/does Opera correct their software even without an update?
I am using Opera on Linux/Chromebook.
UPDATE:
Well, it was working briefly this morning after performing this command in Linux Terminal " sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade ", and then it reverted to the broken/troubled state as described in this thread after closing Opera and then reopening Opera later. Very strange!
UPDATE 2:
It seems after closing and reopening Opera, the problem returns. If I run this command in Linux Terminal " sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade " after closing Opera and before reopening Opera, there is no problem with respect to Recently Closed Tabs displaying properly in Opera.

It's been fine for me this weekend.
Just saw your message, and wanted the check again, to see if it was magically fixed...and it didn't work properly :))
For some reason it happens less often, but I can't pinpoint why. -

20 days and still with the same problem. I don't understand how it can take so long to fix something that worked well for a long time.

After the upgrade to 76.0.4017.94, the Recently Closed Tabs function is not working fine. It only shows some closed tabs but not all. It's like after a certain time, the list of tabs stops updating.

It seems now the key to making Recently Closed Tabs work properly in the current stable version of Opera 76 is to initiate a new window from within Opera.
Once in the new window, Recently Closed Tabs are accessible via the magnifying-glass icon in the Tab Bar (Control-Space), the History Sidebar (Control-H), and also via the Main Menu (Alt, H).
So, in summary the workaround for now is simply this: open a new window.
Update:
This only works sometimes for me ... Opera really has a weird bug here.

Well so much for it working, it's now back to "Reopen last Window" and the "last Tab" option is gone again.
Sigh... well it looked for for a brief while.
No Nkt Fixed .

After the latest update Ctrl+Shift+T instead of opening a tab, I've Just closed by accident, opens a random page which I viewed many hours ago and In a New Window . What's up with that?
It's reproduceable, happening 100% of the time.
Win 10, x64

Some weeks ago CTRL+SHIFT+T stopped working correctly, it used to open last closed tab in current window, but now it opens Random old tab on a new window.
I couldn't find it under Shortcuts, so it has to be built in function.
This is such a basic feature that worked for >10years, why is it broken?
Also history is not correct, this might be the root cause.
Clearing history doesn't help.Works perfectly in Chrome.
Tested on 76.0.4017.123

@leocg Cheers for the info, just run the update tool and now on 76.0.4017.154
Initially it was still showing the "reopen last window" after letting it do its own restart from the update, so manually closed it, double checked in task manager that nothing was left running, restarted it and now back to "reopen last tab" as it should be.
Thank you very much again for the info and fingers crossed it stays working this time.
Cheers again.

@leocg said in Recently Closed Tabs option does not work:
The issue is listed as fixed in today's stable release.
Yes, it seems that the list of recently closed tabs is working properly.

The latest Opera version fixed the issue, I don't know why it took them this long to fix it.
