RE: Search browser copying math problems to clipboard when I hit enterOpera for Windows
@nierninwa said in Search browser copying math problems to clipboard when I hit enter:
also it apparently does not understand when I ask for miles, giving me inches instead??
Clearly the "in" is taken as inches. You can try as as leocg said, of course, or if you want to be sure, "800 km to miles".

RE: Interrupted: network errorOpera for Windows
@mechkalito That site needs an account to download the audio file.
Can you respond to the questions above?

RE: [Solved]Disney Plus freezes/crashes while watching videosOpera for Windows
LOL, yeah, sometimes ad blocking can cause weird behaviors on some sites, especially those which check that nothing is being blocked. So just to play safe, it's usually a good idea to try the cleanest option, which is a private window (no extensions, cookies, etc.), no ad blocking, etc. I'm glad it worked for you!

RE: Youtube and Soundcloud stops playing after every minuteOpera for Windows
And do the headphones have any pause control? I don't know if VLC and Winamp react to it. At least in my case, Winamp reacts to the Pause button on my keyboard, but IDK if that is similar to pressing a Pause button on a BT speaker.
Have you tried them on another computer, or even a cell phone?@capitanremo said in Youtube and Soundcloud stops playing after every minute:
It hapens in opera, with youtube and with soundcloud
So it does not happen with other browsers?

RE: Opera is blocking my access to certain websites.Opera for Windows
@jaym12 So you are saying that you can open all those sites with any browser except Opera? At least they work just fine to me.
You can try disabling the ad blocking, or a private window, or a portable installation of Opera to test without any relation to your current installation/profile. -
RE: [Solved]Disney Plus freezes/crashes while watching videosOpera for Windows
Some ideas:
- Disable Opera's privacy protection (aka ad blocking).
- Try a private window.
- Try with a portable version.
Also you could try opening the Developer Toolbar (
Ctrl-Shift-I
) to see if there are any errors in the Console, or requests that fail under Network. -
RE: My History just disappeared.Opera for Windows
@beacon07 Just to test and try to reproduce the issue. It will be completely disconnected from your other installation (of course, don't enable any Opera sync).

@mechkalito said in Interrupted: network error:
Any solution for download interrupting? Tried this suggestion but it didn't resolve the issue.
Can you give more details? Do absolutely all downloads fail, or some in particular? Do they work fine in other browsers? When did this start?

RE: Youtube and Soundcloud stops playing after every minuteOpera for Windows
It's not clear to me if the issue is with the headphones, drivers, or Opera itself.
By "stop playing", do you mean they pause? Or they continue but you stop listening to it? Can you hear any other software at that point?
If Youtube actually pauses, do the headphones have any play/pause control? They could be malfunctioning. -
RE: Opera Crash (Typo) is crashingOpera for Windows
Right, so what's the question then?
As explained in the link above, that url is to simulate a crash. -
RE: [Solved]Why do I have 2 install locations?Opera for Windows
That's weird. Under
AppData\Local\Programs
I only have a folder calledCommon
which is empty, Opera is underC:\Program Files\Opera
(not x86, I guess we all have 64 bit CPUs by now).
Did you compare the folders' dates (creation and modification) and sizes? -
RE: ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CSPOpera for Windows
@jacbuj It opens with
Ctrl-Shift-I
or from Menu / Developer. In the Console tab you can see errors, and in Network you can see requests that failed. -
RE: Opera Crash (Typo) is crashingOpera for Windows
@lavanyadeepak-0 said in Opera Crash (Typo) is crashing:
The shortcut for Opera Crash page is opera://crashes and by mistake if we type opera://crash instead of showing a friendly error message it is crashing the tab and showing a false positive message in Crashes.
Wow, interesting find. I don't recall trying it. I didn't know the url actually caused a "crash", I thought it would show info about crashes.
Vivaldi also does the same thing, BTW, so I guess it's "fine". -
RE: Youtube-Downloader addons all useless now?Opera add-ons
@cratte Well, to be honest, extensions can also stop working just as any site (especially if they use a web site's services), and y2mate has been working for many years. And even if it does end at some point, it's just a matter of looking for an alternative only once. I still prefer to only have extensions that are really necessary.

That site looks for sale now, it has ads as "related searches" only.

RE: How to enable the volume mousewheel scrollOpera for Windows
@jamvaru Right, I usually use my keyboard's volume shortcut, but in other cases the arrows work fine, as long as the video is on focus and not other part of the page.

RE: Why only 4 options for CPU limitation?Opera for Windows
@slip123 said in Why only 4 options for CPU limitation?:
I'm using my CPU limiter, but I've found I can only set the limits to be 0%...
I don't think you can limit to 0%.
From what I've found, it says that it's limited to those 4 values only. I don't think you will typically need more granularity, unless you are doing some CPU intensive processing on the browser and you don't want to miss a CPU cycle.

RE: ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CSPOpera for Windows
That looks like a site's problem and not the browser.
https://content-security-policy.com/examples/blocked-csp/
There it explains what it is, if you share the url maybe some can check for you. Or you can try yourself using the developer toolbar.

RE: Words in search boxesOpera for Windows
@lyviq That happens probably because the textbox has the same name or id across different websites, so the browsers smartly stores that info to let you use it elsewhere. Very useful when the fields is for address, email, etc.
BTW, you can delete one of those values by selecting it with the keyboard and pressingShift-DEL
.
