I just got a notification about the World CUp 2026 - and I do not know why. All kinds of news stuff is disabled (as it's unnecessary clutter).
Why am I getting World Cup news?

This is on several Samsung Android phones, the latest Opera version being 82.3.4342.79590 and pretty much all the older version.
We Know we opened the tab so we need a way to dismiss this notification (and any notification that works in a similar fashion). We aren't ready to Switch but this notification is blocking the site menus occasianally.
Perhaps an X in the upper corner or just, you know, ability to swipe it away? I'm surprised this never occurred to anyone that timed notifications that can't be dismissed would be irritating.
Please? Pretty please?
Eh. No. They're not fixing anything based on one user's report. They need to get a flood of the same bug occurring. Otherwise it doesn't appear in a significant volume, right? I might be wrong here, of course.
Pages still reload only partially when Refresh is used. The damn top bar still refuses to appear upon scroll-up and the navigation buttons are still absent on phone.
So the third one is not strictly speaking a bug, but...
.... no one's going to address bugs, are they?
That ain't an Opera thing, I believe. It's web design. I experience this on my desktop on a different browser, so...
I'll pipe in about this. I haven't experienced that particular problem, but yes, the toolbar used to work better. Now it's unreachable.

Scrolling up to summon the top toolbar doesn't work. Doong that in any speed used to do it, now it seems like I can only do it by a very aggressive scroll-up. Not good.
Any example site? It will help us fix the issue faster.
EVERYWHERE! You changes something fundamentally, obviously. This problem exists also on my tablet.
Refreshing pages doesn't work properly. On some pages like Yahoo! Mail some elements turn blank after refreshing.
This is a known issue, and we are looking into it.
Also, take a look at the interface on mobile phone. You have not one but TWO menus but the navigation buttons are hidden. Why. How'bout re-thinking that? Accounts and bookmarks would work nicely from one single menu.
From reading your comment, you are on a mobile phone, but chose to use Tablet layout. Any reason why you chose that layout? Unfortunately, tablet layout on mobile phone still have some challenges.
Simple. Tabs are on top on every browser I use. Previous version had the layout well thought out. Now you broke it.
