It does say that after you enable it in opera:flags you will have to restart Opera for changes to take effect (there was a message at the top of the page).

Thanks everyone for your replays, and the bottom line is I have it working on both and I really like as I would use it a lot with the old Opera. I have been using the new Opera and stand alone mail. I find the mail program to be identical to the integrated version and the new Opera, well it kind of grows on you. The only thing I don't like is it isn't as reliable at inserting personal data as the old opera. When it works it will fill in the whole form at one time but most of the time it doesn't do anything. I hope that gets fixed very soon.

I just hope they fix the personal information issue and auto populate.

Hi , I just installed Opera, I would like to use it instead of Firefox, because it gave me blue screens all the time... anyway I really liked, and used a lot, the bookmark bar in Firefox,I think in Opera it is called the quick access bar. But I can't seem to find where to enable,:( there is no button or checkbox in settings , nor i can find it in help. I have win 7 64, and opera 17 or 18 (i tried both ,but i didn't find a trace of the quick access bar).
Please help me to enable the q.access bar ,i would really like to use it in opera...Thanks!:)

Oh silly me... i found opera:flags, and enabled it :D!

Is there an easy way to import into the QAB either all of the entries in the speeddial page or all of the bookmarks from my old Presto browser (Opera 12.16)?

                    Menu, More Tools, Bookmark Importer.

Once you have imported bookmarks to the QAB, you can right-click a folder and add them as a speed dial group.

Best to do any organising and tidying up in 12.16 first, but you can also use D&D on the QAB, and edit bookmark and folder names to make them shorter (to fit more on the QAB).

Ah. I see. I do not think the alternative presented itself the first time I imported, promting me to add them as speeddials. Now I can delete all of the darn speeddials again.

                      Thank you!

I just installed the latest developer release (19.0.1326.0)--the bookmark importer is greyed out. Is that issue just with me or is it just disabled in this version?

That install of Opera has not found your old (Presto) profile, if it doesn't know where your profile is then it won't offer to import your bookmarks.

I should have figured that out myself, I guess when I clicked on +Add Page I got confused by the bar already being filled in. It doesn't get better as you get older.
                                  Thanks
