Hi MortenOSlash, Go to address bar, type: "opera://flags/#speed-dial-native-dnd", and press "Enter" key, then select "Enabled" within the select box for this flag, restart the Opera, and here you go

Probably something in a development version that didn't make it to final.

This complaint is getting beyond tiresome, please search before posting. Bookmarks have been available in the Quick Access Bar for several versions now. It is even called the Bookmarks Bar again in Opera 19. Lots of features are still missing, but some have returned. Custom search engines, draggable tabs, and themes to mention just a few.

I am quite sure that a couple of months ago I could drag a speed dial entry up and drop it in my quick access bar on Opera 18, but now it does not seem to work? Is there something I have forgotten?

I really miss the feature of being able to tweak the user interface of the Opera to the extent of the Presto versions of Opera. What I do not miss was all the signs Opera had run into a blind alley in that development line, like browser freezing all tabs for 10-20 seconds upon one page calling up a slow plugin, pages never fully finish loading, occasionally sluggish handling of multiple tabs etc.

I am not comfortable to rely on a lot of third party mods to do all the tweaking I liked about the Presto version, but I can live better with it than living with a browser lagging behind. That would not fit a browser built on the idea of being fast performing.

Just converting from Presto to Blink on one more of the computers I use. This time, however, there seems for some reason to be trouble with D&D from the Speed dial to the Quick Access Bar. What can have happened?

Dear pain of lolkids,

There are many things old Presto users miss after having migrated to Blink. Even though some of it is retained, it is not placed anywhere an old Presto user would expect to find it. I am afraid Opera Software has been gambling a bit with the patience of these previously faithful users by changing a lot with relatively scarce information to the old users.

(Personally I am glad they released a Opera Mobile Classic for Android, as, even though the speed and rendering of the web pages were better in the new Opera Mobile, they removed a lot of the functionality I felt made the old Opera Mobile the perfect Android browser for me.)

Since there are a lot of us old pre-Blink Opera users out there who do fail to find the way to use the Blink versions fully, I would ask you to try to please abstain from patronising comments for the comments own sake (even if it is tempting, I know), and rather concentrate on constructive contributions.

Menu, More Tools, Bookmark Importer.

Ah. I see. I do not think the alternative presented itself the first time I imported, promting me to add them as speeddials. Now I can delete all of the darn speeddials again.
