@leocg It used to be more consistent, and the Chromium version in Dev had always been +2 versions ahead of whatever it was in the Stable channel. In the last year of so, things simply stagnated. There is no innovation here when it comes to pulling Chromium version that they don't even build from the ground up apart from the UI, which I really like, even more so than Chrome. I have a gut feeling they are using Aria to write their changelogs these days. "We have a new Chromium version to go with Dev for improved security", but in fact, the Chromium version was at least 2 months old by the time it got incorporated.
I guess Opera just needed a bad PR from some security analysts and it will prompt them to ship Chromium faster.

@iosaddict-0 Regarding Opera Developer, I guess Opera just decided to use a more stable version on all of its streams.

@iosaddict-0 Opera stable used to be on the same main version of Chromium, but always a few minor versions behind.
Most probably had to delay Chromium updates due to the development of some features.

@iosaddict-0 They probably have to change a lot of Chromium's code after the intakes to make sure that nothing will be broken, that's why they have always been at least few minor versions behind Chromium.
Even doing that, problem happens.

@leocg I don't think we Arena talking about updates generally but about how fast security fixes from Chromium are included in Opera.
Even Vivaldi and Brave are normally doing this wirhin the next two days or even immediately. But Opera doesn't update for more than a week, sometimes even without the fixes. -

@HealingCross316 The ones that really need to be included fast, are released shortly.
