Going straight to the point. I want to change my keys but I with this new update i have no clue how to change anything.
I want to change my appearance as well, like change my default search engine to bing but after adding bing it I can't include it as one of my default search engine. I want to add some buttons like a stop-all button but again i can't customize my shortcuts so I can't add the button anyway.

        Try this

        Not possible atm.

Also not possible. Although you may try some extensions to add what you want.

I'm not an opera wiz so how do i go about learning what the correct command names are? Nothing in that file tells me anything about the commands and what they are mapped to so i'm assuming i have to configure each one by myself.

          ex: next tab
          previous tab
          open last closed tab
          open new tab

where can i find a list of all this?

No customizability with a minimum feature set. It's what the new Opera browser (26+) appearing to be.

So i'm convinced this is just a clone of chrome. That's what they said it was based on: Chromium.
That's sad. I guess as usual, I'm stuck to using lower versions of Opera, once again.
This is just insane. If you like the new opera, that's cool. But I liked how Opera was customizable, though a bit complicated to use, and that's one of the reasons why it was different and distinguishable from other browsers. But now it turned into a clone.

Maybe in a few years I'll check up on updates for Opera, like how i always do. But right now, it's basically Chrome. You and I can disagree and agree all we want but so far on the new versions Opera, I'm not seeing the features it had on old browsers. I tried all the browsers to see what was right for me and Opera had it downright perfect... but that was before the updates.

                  This is just insane.

What exactly is insane about it? They needed to use a different rendering engine as their proprietary one was being left behind technologically and was becoming too difficult to maintain. Their old interface was heavily built upon the old rendered so it was not transferable to the new engine. The old interface was the result of 17 years of development and evolution. The new Opera is less than 2 years old. It takes time to rebuild. You act as if this change has broken your leg and picked your pocket all in one go. Lasted I checked this project cost you zero monies and required you to contribute nothing in any way to it.
