@adroman Can you install any version of Opera? If so, download and run the free Revo uninstaller to uninstall Opera. Be sure to use the option to look for hidden bits and pieces in the Registry, etc. Hopefully it will remove ALL traces of Opera. Then you can try installing the version you want.

      Good luck

I keep getting strange errors: Some files are locked in installation folder.

Manually delete the installation folder before trying to install. Also, delete everything in "C:\Windows\temp" and "C:\Users\Thinker\AppData\Local\temp".

              Thank you very much!
Tried your method, but the situation is the same.
Have no idea what to do.

                    Opera failed to uninstall.jpg

Opera can't be installed, can't be uninstalled.
A lot of people have same problem.
Is it not possible to understand why and fix the cause?
I'm willing to provide any diagnostic information.
After all, it is also useful for Opera itself to find out the cause of the error and fix it.

@adroman Delete everything in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp" and "C:\Windows\temp" and then try to uninstall again. Then, after the install fails, look in those folders for an installer log file and see what it says.

@adroman The Content-Length error is normal. The "failed to find string" errors are normal. "The Installer process did not complete successfully." error is too vague.
