How to don't use Tabs Islands? I prefer the traditional presentation.
If it's not possible, then I won't use Opera anymore... -

@leocg Thank you for your reply, but I've come to the conclusion that I asked the wrong question.
My question is: how can I go back to the old tab layout, independently of the tab islands? In the new tab layout, the tabs are so tightly packed that it's no longer possible to select one without error. -

The gods have heard my prayers! thank you! I am also one of those who have +100 tabs! I don't know if it does but I would like you to add a function so that the non-expanded tabs remain Inactive (that they are not loaded in memory or in the processor) until you expand "the island". It would also be nice if with a combination of keys you can switch tabs and show a reduced or full view of them, a similar way as "windows 10" does with the "alt+tab" keys but a little larger or full of the tab , this would add a little more fluidity and dynamics to the navigation between tabs, something similar to changing "Channels" on TV. It would also be nice if by pressing a key, it redirects you to a random tab (no fake)
Thanks again to the developers and the "ideas" channelers... Greetings from Argentina from a novice programmer and ideas channeler... among other things...hehe .. -

I just checked and some of the features I wanted are already implemented! but a little different, the preview of the tab is only available if you pass the mouse over it, it would be nice if it could also be handled by pressing keys like the advanced functions of the "1" and "2" keys, they could be added in a switch option between "preview" and "full screen" (as it is currently).
The option to suspend tabs outside the "current island" would also be missing.
And the button to go to a random tab... thanks anyway for the functions already implemented...
Greetings! -

@jeanmi67 ...
Previous posts...
** jolp ** had the answer earlier... Worked for me...
"I was experimenting the same confusion that most people here (If ain't broken, don't fix it!) and all I had to do was turning this complicated and unnecesary islands off and then access the opera://flags menu to get my scrolling bar back again." -

@jolp I've done that for a while (in readiness for the return of tab scrolling), but it hasn't yet enabled scrolling. I'm using Linux. Please confirm your operating system and provide a screenshot.

@daleneurauter I keep what I said. You can disable automatic creation of tab islands and even get tabs scrolling back but you can change the layout.

@thelittlebrowserthatcould Tab scrolling was reintroduced in the last Opera Developer 102 build, so probably it's not working yet in the stable releases.

Guys, access the opera://flags menu to get the scrolling bar back. Combining tab islands and scrolling (done via middle mouse button) can be very productive. I'm loving it.

@thechrist953751 Automatic creation of tab islands can be disabled in settings page.

This feature is partially - but not fully - keyboard drivable. Please add:
- Please add keyboard command to collapse current island, if currently selected tab is part of an island.
- When using keyboard to "Show Previous Tab" or "Show Next Tab", collapsed tab islands are skipped over. They should not be skipped; rather, they should get the keyboard focus. At that point, there should be a keyboard command to expand currently selected (collapsed) island.
Tab Islands is a nice feature for mouse-centric casual users. Great! The mouse works.
Tab Islands is also a nice feature for keyboard-centric organized users. Great! Well...... not quite there yet.
TL;DR: Add full keyboard drivability.
Thanks!

it would be great if we could move tab islands between windows and maybe choose the colors ourselves sometime because I sometimes forget what is in which and hovering over them all to find out is eh (yeah I can tab search but colors would be more intuitive).
