How to make Startpage my Default Search Engine

Hello Forum Members, It seems I am unable to make Startpage my default search engine. When I get to the area for that feature it seems like whatever I try to input to make the change seems to show an error or is unresponsive. Please help. Thanks, bklyn

@bklynkid You can only use pre-installed search engines as default - and changing the default does not change the search box in the speed dial page.

Since Startpage is not one of the pre-installed search engines, it can't be set as default.

@bklynkid Since you can't set it as default the next best thing is to use a keyboard shortcut in the address bar. E.g., s "search query."

Inflexibility in setting default search is a long-standing complaint. Opera should just exactly copy Vivaldi on this.
