Why Open the Web?

Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content.

@leocg See the difference between facebook and e.g. youtube. No, I don't have any exceptions, and even if I did, this icon would be visible in gray with a cross in the middle. What this is about? Is there some kind of tacit deal with facebook?

@adam1709 I could see the shield icon on Facebook after have removed the site from the exceptions list for the adblocker.
