I am still using Opera 11.64 here without many problems. If I encounter a problem I open the page in another program. To provide quicker access to other browser I customised my right-click menu to show the browsers I use, including those that would not show up on the automatically generated Open With menu (SRWare Chrome Iron, and USB installs of Opera).

        [Document Popup Menu]
        --- Main Menu ---
        ;Include, Browser Menu Bar
        ---Source--
        Item, MI_IDM_Kilde=View document source
Item, M_BLOCK_CONTENT=Content block mode on | Content block mode off
        ---Open In---
Item, "Open in Private Tab"=Copy document address,,,,"Window Private Icon" & New private page & Paste and go
        Include, Open In Menu
        ---Full Screen---
Item, MI_IDM_FULLSCREENTOGGLE=Enter fullscreen | Leave fullscreen

        [Open In Menu]
        Item, "Open in Firefox"="Execute program, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe", "%u",,"Firefox""
        Item, "Open in Iron"="Execute program, "C:\Program Files (x86)\SRWare Iron\iron.exe", "%u",,"Iron""
Item, "Open in IE"="Execute program, "iexplore", "%u",,"IE""
Item, "Open in Opera 12.16"="Execute program, "O:\Opera 12.16\opera.exe", "%u",,"Window Browser Icon""
Item, "Open in Opera 18"="Execute program, "O:\Opera 18.00\launcher.exe", "%u",,"Window Browser Icon""
Item, "Open in Opera Next"="Execute program, "O:\Opera Next\launcher.exe", "%u",,"Opera Next""
Item, "Open in Opera Dev"="Execute program, "O:\Opera Dev\launcher.exe", "%u",,"Opera Dev""
        # & Execute program, "O:\Opera Next\operamail.exe"

            That's easily solvable problem.

I just love that you can change the document popup menu and have changed mine to suit my needs.

I've got a Open in FF, IE, Chrome buttons and do use those. Wanted to post those here as the OP might find them useful but darn if I could remember how to do that. Some quick searching didn't help.

Quote my post to see the code. The icons depend on the skin. In my skins I have added icons for Firefox and Iron.

12.16 here on Win7 x64. Haven't had any problems that would cause me to consider this "out of date" version irrelevant.
In fact, I just reinstalled Windows and loaded version 18.x of Opera - no tab stacking is a deal breaker. So reloaded 12.16.

If you want to stick with 12.16 be prepared for web pages not to work. And if you really need to see those pages then you'll have to use another browser. If you're alright with that then there's pretty much nothing else for you to do. I'm good with 12.16.

Opera 12 supports drag and drop buttons, which is just a specially crafted URL which Presto will interpret as a button. See this page on the wiki for even more examples.

Opera 12 (which I run on my Linux boxes) is like Windows NT... is obsolete and unmaintained. It gets more so every day.

wow, that's amazing. My girlfriend is still using the 12.11 build I last put on for her but she is running into more and more issues. Seems like I'll have to give her my Firefox install because she loves the features of Presto and doesn't fancy the Blink versions.

I still use Opera 12.16. Main reasons are Bookmarks, Mail, Notes, RSS Feeds, Magic Wand and Mouse Gestures.

I tried Opera 20 and it's really not bad but lacks features that I like and am comfortable with.

I did add some custom buttons like InIE for when I have issues with a website and need to use IE11 to do whatever has to be done.

I went to this web page: http://operawiki.info/CustomButtons to get the InIE button. Then I went down to the Web Development section (bottom of page) and selected OPEN PAGE IN IE. Selecting this button will automatically install in Opera 12.16. I also have a go to Top and go to Bottom button as well.

So far everything is working fine.

Don't expect that to last forever. Time waits for no man. Version 12 is an OLD browser by web standards. It will become increasingly slow, incompatible with websites and insecure. It's all well and good to extol its virtues but this loyalty is misplaced. Time to move on so at least run v.20 alongside and stay abreast of what IS being developed.

leushino: Truth is I was hoping this post would fly under your radar. Nothing you say has any value to me. Of course you are so caught up in your own little paradigm that you can't begin to understand someone else's viewpoint.

Had you read and understood my post you would have noticed that I did in fact try Opera 20 and since I am an actual living, breathing human being, I'm entitled to my own preferences and don't have to be guided by your point of view.

                                  Thank you very much.

Sticking with Opera even though it's become a Chrome clone of sorts would be loyalty. Sticking with v12.xx is a case of holding on to functionality. You trolling those who don't like the new direction is zealotry which, if you don't have a vested interest in the company, would be a form of misplaced loyalty

So you're holding on to functionality with a browser that is becoming slower by the day, increasingly incompatible with websites and will ultimately put your security at risk? Uh... that's not a very prudent way to go.

I use Opera 20 because it does EXACTLY what I want and need. I wouldn't call that loyalty so much as expedience. It works so I use it. Simple.

No, I've already said I use Firefox now but I can understand why people have yet to move on, it's quite clear really. Opera 20 doesn't work for them. Simple

How exactly is the browser getting "slower"? It's not like a physical component that wears down over time, it's software. Your posts are becoming exceedingly more incoherent, the more you try to push people to abandon PrOpera for ChrOpera.

Theres no way to keep Opera 12.xx relevent, it's time has come and passed, I moved on although I do have Opera 20.whatever installed, I dont surf with it, I'll just wait patiently for the improvements to come, if they ever do, I'm aware of how great some people think Opera 20.whatever is, dont preach it to me, I hear it evertime someone responds to my posts, but to surf with an old outdated opera just out of loyalty doesnt make much sense, other browsers do just as much as the old Opera. Opera 12.xx is not relevent anymore, it's been abandoned and it's past tense, Get used to it.
