how to create shortcut?

i need to know if its posible in 2021 on opera gx

@greenbear Shortcut to what? A page?

That you can get by dragging the globe/padlock badge to your desktop or everywhere you want to put the shortcut.
I would prefer to just create a bookmark.

Or you are talking about a shortcut to Opera GX itself?

on Windows, just right click on launcher,exe in Opera´s installation directory and then on create shortcut

@greenbear Shortcuts to internet sites should be fine - the one you posted earlier should work if your computer is properly configured. But if your computer has a slight problem in it's settings Opera will open the file itself instead of the website ...

@greenbear When you double click on a internet shortcut, what program opens?
You can also check in the list of default programs on Windows settings.

Opens with opera gx
Opera gx is the default browser

@greenbear URL files should actually be opened by the system, which then looks at the protocol to see which program should handle it.
