      Hello,

How can I disable opera's default context menu. I need to use the right click butotn to paste somthing to a site but opera doesn't give that option in its terminal.

      Please help! It's quite urgent!

@ola9999 If you can't paste something in a site, most probably it's either because the function is blocked by the site or the sites doesn't support Opera.

@ola9999 You can't, but the site can. If the site isn't doing that, it is their fault, unless you installed an extension which prevents sites from blocking the context menu (and there are several).

              Thanks for your input...

              I misrepresented my question.

I use a server (virtual environment, specifically Unix) command line interface . In the task I was given, I was asked to copy and paste the script into the command line interface. I copied it but I couldn't paste. Fellow students that are doing the same thing are done with theirs (they were able to paste by just right-clicking in the terminal)...

After doing some research I discovered that Opera automatically overides the context menu of a site.

This is what made me to looj for a means to disable opera's default context menu. Or is there a better method to paste?

              NB:
Opera brings out the context menu that comes out when you right click on any whitespace in the browser...

@ola9999 Opera does not override the context menu of any site.

This is what I am talking about.... Right-clicking in this window ought to paste whatever is in the clipboard... But opera brings up this...

@ola9999 What should appear when you right click on that page? It works in Chrome and other Chromium based browsers?

@ola9999 Let's do a test. Enable opera://flags/#freeze-user-agent and see if anything changes.

@ola9999 Is that site public? People may want to test it. Also, does it support Opera?

@leocg It's not public.. It's the learning portal of a school... I don't know if it supports opera but I believe it should by default, since it is chromium-based

@ola9999 What browser is used by default there? Maybe the page uses some function that Opera doesn't have? Or maybe you need to allow something?

I honestly don't know since the program I am on is remote.

How can I check if the page use a function that Opere do not have?

Some browsers allow JavaScript to read the clipboard - generally a bad idea if they can do so without your knowledge as your clipboard might contain anything. Possibly they are actually using JavaScript in a way Opera doesn't allow.

There should be a demo version of whatever software your school is using somewhere, if you can find a name for the software we'll look it up.
