As a result, I have started using Lightshot::

      https://app.prntscr.com/en/

This program - after installing - allows you to do the same things as Snapshot (hit PrintScreen) except it works perfectly. When installed you can also take snapshots outside of your browser. Also, it remembers the folder you want to save it to...and can copy and paste.

Current version 57.0.3098.76 continues to house a broken undependable Snapshot.

            Windows 10 Pro + Opera 58.0.3135.79 64-bit.

I tested the Snapshot feature on https://arstechnica.com/. I tried it multiple times where I selected a different part of the page and a different size each time. When saving the snapshot to a png file and loading the png file, it comes out as expected. I didn't see anything wrong. Pics from the webpage that are in the pic look fine and the whole pic itself looks fine.

The only issue I see is that the "capture full screen" button just captures what's in the viewport instead of the whole page. But, resizing the selection box to the full page still works for that.

I have stopped using the Opera Snapshot function completely and replaced it with Lightshot for Windows. It isn't limited to Opera and you can use it within the breadth of ANY Windows program, including a movie, email program etc. Using the PrtScrn button, you can outline any image on the screen, and save it in a format YOU choose, to a directory of YOUR choice...rather than limited to the PNG image format and the directory Snapshot has chosen for you.

Before Opera added snapshot, I just used the screenshot feature in my image viewer Irfanview. And still do if I need to include parts of the interface, as snapshot is webpage only.

Still flawed after many iterations of Opera. Noted this many times before.

Since to weeks now I've been having Problems with Snapshot on Facebook,
The selected area somehow changes and the top of the Snapshot is the Top Panel of Facebook control area, but I not selected that area.

                    Is possible to fix it?
                    Thanks

The "snapshot" function does not work correctly. When taking a picture, the image shifts much higher. As a result, you cannot get the desired area. Opera 73.0.3856.257

The photo is taken at the selected height from the top of the page and not from the selected location
