the X button on tabs to close them is not showing up consistently on MacOS Catalina 10.15.6. I have to click the tab, hover, then it shows. Previously when hovering over any tab it would show up immediately

is it correct that a searchable phrase is not in bold, but the rest part is in bold in the suggestions list?

@pinportal: Paste that file (libffmpeg.so) in Opera folder. It works completely fine.

New update - Opera stable 70.0.3728.154
;-)
Looks to be silent one, since there's no change log nor announcement for this version for now. -

Maybe they don't want to draw attention to the 2 stable updates in row during one week. So better doing this on the sly

@l33t4opera: Usually, they release the installer a few hours before (on ftp) to post here on the blog. But this time, it took a long time.

@kened Most probably not, because the change log is already available again, so it seems there will be no more changes for that new version. However for a new beta it's already on the way to be published.

@andrew84 As I understand it, lack of the change log and announcement usually means there's nothing especially important to write about it, or there's something important included, which Opera's peeps don't want to mention in public.

So I have multiple Opera windows open each with a bunch of tabs so I have some overview of all the titles in one go, otherwise with so many tabs still open it's a pain to oversee it. However as of late I've been having this problem with that when I maximize an Opera window it switches to last position on the Windows taskbar and it also does it automatically after I've been watching a video in fullscreen on YT for example. How do I turn this off, I can't find anything in the settings?

I am still using Opera 69......
write protected and everything that tries to update deleted and blocked
Since you have changed the Sidebar and V7 Bookmarks doesn't work anymore I refuse to update to 70+
The new sidebar options and limitations are terrible.....
Once Opera 69 doesn't work anymore and Opera 70+ has not changed to better i will look for another alternative...

do this - probably does not affect anyone here (or anywhere else).

Does anyone know when Opera 71 stable will be released?
I don't know ... what is upcoming in Opera 71 in terms of features or fixes?

I don't know ... what is upcoming in Opera 71 in terms of features or fixes?71 will go stable when they determine it is ready (there is a lot to check with the Chromium update and making sure things are not broken).
What I wonder is why the change log for 70 and others are missing updates in the change log.
Why Open the Web?
Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content. -

@l33t4opera: Very different from how they had been doing the change log for 20 years
