              hi.
Perhaps a solution here, because Opera is using the Blink engine from Google's Chrome browser.

Chrome Browser: Turn hardware acceleration OFF?

"Chrome launches with the white screen?"
https://windowsreport.com/chrome-white-screen/#:~:text=Some users have confirmed that,in the snapshot directly below.

              go to:
              opera://settings/?search=hardware

@cratte Disabling hardware acceleration may have consequences worse than the white flashing, I guess.

In the latest Beta and Dev they applied a 'fix' (DNA-88299 White flashes when opening bookmark on startpage) that removes the white flashbangs.
But Instead of the white flashbang I have colorful one now (color depends on currently active wallpaper). I can't call it as 'fix', a colored flash is even worse.

Just wanted to note - I had the same white flashes, when a new page loaded. But, then I opened "about:blank" page, then that page changed color to dark, and now opening new pages there are no more white flashes.

Its rly annoing thing in dark mode. Hope we find how to change it.

Its wierd we dont have option to change color of background.

Today i installed opera gx and loved it so far, but this flashes...

Don't yell at us! This is a user forum, it is unlikely the developers will even see your post here.

@Veygard It's official Opera page but it's mainly a place for users to try to help each other.

@dada5k Nope, I'm still having the problem as well. The developers should have fixed this by now.

Well, I really love the project and the concept, but this whole white flashbang I get every single time I open a tab or website is too much... How is it that the devs do not browse the forums? Does PewDiePie need to say something for them to listen...?

@gchavez i have completely given up on this problems and devs in general. If it's really a chromium issue, how is it that other browsers don't have this problem?
I switched to edge months ago, and let me tell you it's far better. No annoying major bugs, instant response to complaints. This issue has been open for so long, no response from devs yet and no fixes. What else is there to do?

@jenabaivab all browsers (on chromium) have this. But each browser can have different workarounds for that.

@andrew84 I have tested Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi. Even if chromium has this problem, every single chromium browser has managed to fix it for their respective audience, except Opera. Now I hear they don't even read the forums. No wonder nothing gets fixed.
