Newly Installed, Will Not Open at All

I have just reinstalled Windows 7 Pro, and I downloaded Opera and when I click on it, nothing happens. I have read the instructions for posting about installation problems and I have searched this forum, but I cannot find a posting with a similar issue. I downloaded the latest version, I suppose, from the Opera website.
What can I do to get it to open? -

Were you using Opera before, or this is your first time? There are some ,,, let's say somewhat excessive security programs that can block any unknown software that tries to access the internet; or you just have a bad install. The installer itself appeared to work properly, but did not start Opera itself?

Lo and behold, out of nowhere, three instances of the browser opened at one time. And you are no doubt correct. I have recently had to reinstall Windows, and my virus protection was evidently loath to allow the program to open. It has opened now, and I look forward to setting it to my wishes. Thank you for your kind and prompt response, but I think I am good to go!
