Pasting a word (say one I copied from a webpage I want to look up the meaning of) into the address bar adds .com on the end, randomly - sometimes it does, but never when I try to repeat the problem! All I do is open a new tab by clicking the + on the tab bar, press CTRL-V, then enter.

Maybe you are forgetting to release Ctrl first?

@leocg Yes,that's it. Although I wouldn't call it "forgetting", just a fraction of a second inaccuracy, and not expecting yet another of billions of keyboard shortcuts! I'll go disable that one aswell....

@leocg Do you know where I'd find a way to disable CTRL-Enter? Can't see it in keyboard settings, although I'm not sure what it would be labelled as.

That would be strange, since there's a huge list of keyboard shortcuts in advanced settings.

This one seems more of a system/universal shortcut. Even in Windows Explorer it will work.

I wonder if it can be disabled in the Windows 10 settings. I guess I could use the third party software autohotkey, but I can't be bothered!
